The Eagles have 18 pending free agents and with Jalen Hurts looking for a contract extension, the Philadelphia defense could look remarkably different in 2023.

During his end-of-the-season press conference, the Eagles GM gave some insight into his thinking, admitting that he’s looking forward to the compensatory picks gained from losing several key free agents.

Thanks to some 2022 draft night deals, and the acquisition of C.J. Gardner-Johnson, Philadelphia currently has six picks in 2023, while eight key defensive contributors are unrestricted free agents.

Philadelphia has the depth on the offensive line to offset Isaac Seumalo landing a large deal, but will have to get creative in retooling a talented defense.
