4 Free Agents Named ‘Players To Watch’ For Philadelphia Eagles

Eagles

NFL Analysis Network

The 2022 NFL season was an amazing one for the Philadelphia Eagles. After not receiving much hype coming into the year, Jalen Hurts and company made a deep run in the playoffs and made it all the way to the Super Bowl. Unfortunately, they ended up falling to the Kansas City Chiefs and heading the offseason looking to improve the roster and get back next season.

Despite being a Super Bowl team, the Eagles do own the No. 10 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft. They also have their own first-round pick. Those picks alone will allow Philadelphia to add more young talent to an already loaded roster.

Next up, the Eagles will also be an attractive free agency destination for veterans looking to compete for a ring. That is a very valuable position to be in.

Yardbarker took a look at four players the Eagles could look to poach from their NFC East rivals. All four would be welcome additions that would help fill areas of need.

They suggested that Richie James, a wide receiver from the New York Giants could be a potential target. He ended up catching 57 passes for 569 yards and four touchdowns last season. Adding him as a wide receiver No. 3 option would be a wise decision for the Eagles and would give Hurts even more firepower to utilize.

Another possible free agency target that Philadelphia could consider is Washington Commanders’ star defensive lineman Daron Payne. Payne is going be a hot commodity in free agency and would be a nice addition for the Eagles. He could help replace Ndamukong Suh in the middle of the line.

From the Dallas Cowboys, two players were suggested as possible targets. Tony Pollard, who is coming off of a rough injury in the playoffs, would be a great running back option assuming he comes back to full health. On the defensive side of the ball and on special teams, cornerback CJ Goodwin could be a fit.

All four of these players would be intriguing free agency targets for the Eagles. Being able to steal them from the rest of the NFC East would make the additions even sweeter.
