Posted February 23, 20232 yr I haven't seen or heard any talk about his role in the two weeks up to the game. Our defense looked almost unrecognizable in the SB. They looked more like the Minnesota D. I wonder how much his influence may have affected their performance... I mean, two weeks earlier we demolished 2 QBs with pressure. (yes, I know they were no PM) But, We've seen Mahomes sometimes have issues with pressure ( Bucs SB) Did Fangio come in and sabotage us ? Or did we overthink our plan with the extra input happening? J/S- If the Defense wasn't broken, why mess with it...

I think the horrible field conditions played a major factor, I think Gannon planned on dropping 7 and generating pressure with 4 like he had all year, the eagles had the most sacks from 4 man pressures in the league, the field really negated that Gannon never adjusted and stayed in that soft 7 shell while his 4 man pressures created zero pressure. Not sure how much input Fangio had but I said a few days before the game that if Gannon came out playing soft shell sit back all game that it would be a long day for the D and he did and it was☹️

It is the GD Damn Field that screwed us as much or even more than what KC did. It took away our ability to pressure with front 4. Something that was critically important in previous games. A major screw up by the NFL with their new turf stadium. NFL should have tested the field and played somewhere also on the different field.

Everyone knows the eagles led the league in sacks what wasn't always mentioned is that they also led the league in sacks from 4 man pressures by alot. The field conditions as you state took that ability away which effected the eagles D game plan more than the chiefs seeing as Gannon relied so much on creating pressure with 4 guys where as chiefs with spags blitz a bit more. Also concerning was the amount of times eagles players were recorded as slipping compared to chiefs players which was more than double at 38 for eagles to if I remember 15 for chiefs Notice when the cameras panned to the pile of cleats on the eagles sideline that had been changed they didn't pan to the chiefs sideline because chiefs players weren't changing their cleats. Could it be because the guy who set up the field was a chiefs employee was a lifetime chiefs fan and told the chiefs hey the field is going to be a soggy mess on purpose wear these cleats it should give you a slight advantage??? Fieldgate???🤷♂️ I'm a bit of a conspiracy theorist anyway but there's just so much pointing to something fishy with the field that we'll never know, but I'm convinced someone does and it's a shame because I wholly believe if the eagles play that super bowl on a suitable field they win.

I am not a big believer in conspiracy theoires..although given Vegas input it could certainly be the case. I do firmly believe that a road to Hell is paved with good intentions, and this generation lacks common sense. In their desire to reduce costs through getting rid of common grass fields, they created an artificial turf that is pure Sh..t. More injuries, more slippage, can be more easily manipulated by interested parties. So Yeah I hate it, and especially because it was done to us. It deserves an investigation by someone with integrity.

Totally agree, an investigation would be great, but I can't imagine would ever happen and if it did the league would bury it faster than they burned the spygate tapes...😒
