Decent size at 215. Nice burst. Very young so still learning. Lightening strikes again with another Pitt back?

Ok... this is the RB I want.

I have spoken.

Will not be performing at the combine. Tweaked hamstring. Won't see him until March 29 pro day.

I like the weight - but assume anyone who isn’t participating in the drills might be manipulating the system.

I think he's legit hurt. A speed guy running around with a tweaked hammy for 40s and timed drills isn't a good idea.

Sure - when runs at his proday, I hope he’s still 215.

You strike me as a guilty before proven innocent type guy lol.

Well, I routinely see RBs losing 20lbs between their college bios and weigh-ins; there’s a whole pre-draft industry that tries to maximize their value - and obviously there is $ involved (and agents).  He probably does have a hamstring tweak, but is holding some water weight for the combine going to hurt him if he isn’t doing any testing?

If he were some potential 1st or 2nd day pick I guess that would be a thing. But the dude is rated like a day 3 guy right now. How much more could he hurt himself given he's not even projected high to begin with.

If he is able to marry up 5’10”/215 (that’s a pretty dense frame, heavier than Charbonnet) with fast times at his proday (he’ll have good straight line speed based on what I’ve seen in games) and the production he had at Pitt… that could be the difference between being a late 3rd or an early 5th.

Playing weight is probably somewhere between 212 and 216. I've seen him rated as like a 6th rounder in many places.

Charbonnet who is a big back, weighed in at 6’0” 214lb. Obviously, he was sucking weight to bump up his 40 - but you can see how 215 is nice place to be.

You got a slew of backs in the mid rounds fighting for position - incremental differences can make them standout.

I'm sure these teams are aware of what folks do to time better. They created the forum to begin with. He runs a 4.4 he's gtg to up his stock given his production. With his track background doubt that would be a problem provided that he's healthy which is probably more of a concern at this stage. I wanted to see him catch the ball personally. I already know he has break away speed.

His hands seem OK, and is at least a willing pass blocker - no idea about the route running, etc. as he wasn’t asked to do much aside from the occasional checkdown stuff from what I can tell. He only just turned 20, so he might get to 215 sooner or later.

He weighed in at 216 at the combine so he's already there 212 to 216 if you adjust for water weight. With an NFL program he probably plays at that weight though. Like that he's young but I wonder how he interviewed. Seems like there's a lot of room for improvement in his game.

With both CBs back a bit more uncertainty at 10, I’ll go with a ‘traits’ draft.

Any mock with Izzy in it I like hahahaha. Wouldn't go Nolan at 15 though that's a reach. I'm starting to think they may trade up using that extra 2nd or a 3rd from next year. I've been messing with PFF with the trade up possibility and then a trade down at 30. (I wonder if there is a deal there with Detroit in principle and the Eagles didn't try to match their CJGJ offer to keep in good graces :D)

"At 5'10 and 217 pounds, he ran a 40-yard dash time that ranged somewhere in the range of 4.26 and 4.32. He also soared for a 41.5" vertical leap"

Welp he's going to fly up the boards now... sheesh.

Way too little. We have little guys already.

yes he is little but has a skill set that we really value and also we have loved the little backs for a long time.

We already have his archetype in Scott and Gainwell. We've failed too often trying to get the 'next sproles'. We need bigger backs. Particularly backs that can get short yardage and protect our soon to be gaziilionaire QB. 215+ or better.

Dane Brugler kind of went after Izzy, citing that his yards after contact were poor and that being better there is a requirement at the next level.

My impression is that Izzy consistently falls forward when tackled, and while not elusive he’s dangerous as a one cut runner behind a good OL that can provide creases/ HR chances.

I hear that a lot about his contact balance. I'm guessing he doesn't get contacted much because he's flying past people ha. The kid is a baby with a high ceiling in my opinion. Only 20 years old. Some NFL coaching and weight room would help. The ability and desire to work is there from what I've seen.
