im waiting for this to drop. either gunna get one of these or hoping the s20 gets a solid discount when the note drops

im hoping from the latter, I need a new phone.

I'd want the S20 Note Ultra.

  • 4 weeks later...

I pre-ordered my Note 20 Ultra.

Got it through Samsung.com

They offered the best trade in amount for my Note 8. Which was $250.

They also gave $200 credit for accessories. Some choices included the new watch, new ear buds, option to purchase a chromebook for $279 so it would almost be covered by my credit.

I ended up getting 2 UV disinfecting/wireless charging boxes, another regular wireless charger, another wall charger, and a portable battery all thrown in for the 200 bucks.

Now we wait. It should arrive on or before 8/21.

reading over the notes features and what not, im glad i didnt wait for it to be announced. i dont think i would have gotten much more from it than im getting from my 20+

Yeah.  I think they improved the display a bit but I don't game, especially with my phone so that doesn't do much for me.

Of course,  it has the stylus. Which sometimes comes in handy so that's why I stick with the note.

yea i never had a note, so the stylus thing interested me, but it doesnt seem like there was enough for me to regret getting a 20+, which is what i was afraid of.

Once the novelty wears off, you probably wont use it too much.

I use it the most for capturing screen shots. You can easily write on the screen shot pic, circle or highlight things. Easy to crop things with. Stuff like that that it comes in handy with once in a while. I have used my phone to sign documents before and send back which was really nice. But in 3 years that happened twice. I just still like to know that I can.

Im tempted by the fold but the first gen had such bad issues I wasnt ready to plunge on the 2nd one they just announced. Gotta see one succeed first before shelling out that kind of dough.

Yeah. the one they revealed yesterday looks too thick for me when folded. I still need to see the fold get a little thinner and see that it doesnt break.

Anyone get the new Samsung Galaxy Watch?

I got my Note 20 Ultra yesterday and there is a major keyboard/touchscreen bug that makes typing impossible.

I'm getting the phone replaced today.

Basically, the far right QWERTY keys keep getting accidentally pressed when I type. (0,P,L,M)

Damn somebody ganked my thread from the old board which was a JJ parody thread.

I dumped Google and switched back to Samsung. I have the s20 ultra

I have not had that.

I have had typing freeze up 2-3 times.  Simply pressing the back button to put the keyboard away and bringing it back up fixes it. I assume it'll be fixed in an update soon enough.

No but let me know how it is

I cracked the screen on my ticwatch pro today. It's not bad, but I want to get something new and keep this one for work, seeing as how I broke it weed whacking

Samsung offered a sweet deal when I ordered my phone. I considered a watch but still woulda had to pay a chunk extra and didnt want to while already spending 1200 for a friggin phone.

I got 200 dollars of credit though and loaded up on accessories for free.

1 wireless charger

2 UV disinfecting, wireless charging boxes

1 powerbank

1 wall charger

Cant remember if there was anything else. But I needed another wireless charger, and I thought those UV things were cool in this time we are living in- and they can be used for other things too, not just your phone.

New Pixel phones today and looks Google is actually trying this year

I love my Note10+. Good screen, decent enough camera for what I use it for and the battery lasts forever. It's about the time I normally get a new phone but I like this one so much I might wait an extra year.

I have one of those. I mostly use it for the gym, hikes and such as I don't like wearing watches or jewelry. Lots of features for the price but it's a crappy cheap looking thing.

The Samsung ones look pretty nice.

I ended up getting. It's far better than the tic watch was. Don't wear it weed whacking though, I learned my lesson

If I was a watch guy or person who wore jewelry I would get a nicer one. But for what I use it for the Ticwatch is pretty good. Workouts, hikes, and if I'm vacationing or visiting a new city, because having the GPS on the watch face is game changing when in a new place(I have a terrible sense of direction).
