Hopefully they aren't picking in the top 10 again any time soon. The opportunity to get a blue chip talent on the offensive or defensive line might be boring but is probably where they should be looking.

I could see a slight trade back a few spots to acquire an additional pick  and take the BPA whether OT, DT, CB, S, Edge. I agree, just get the best prospect. Then fill out the rest with other picks.

I'm not even slightly concerned about losing Seumalo. He was a solid starter but you could put just about anybody between Lane and Kelce and they will look good.

True.

But, the problem is - or will be - that Lane and Kelce won’t be playing much longer.

Does anyone remember what the play call was on Jalen’s fumble? 3rd and 6. Did he roll out and just drop the ball? Having a brain freeze on that. Probably because it was a such a awful moment. Football amnesia.

It was a Hurts hesitation run, to the right side … the gap was filled though and when Hurts saw that he tried to scramble to the outside and lost the grip when he did.  The very likely result if he had not dropped the ball was a 1 or 2 yard loss and a punt on 4th down.

Jurgens was drafted to play interior OL and replace Kelce or someone else. He should be a good candidate to step in at RG. Dickerson and Jurgens were both Centers in college and Dickerson has transitioned well to Guard.

This didn’t help.

Thank you.

I had a feeling it was a bad play call. I wanted a drop back pass play. KC was probably looking for a Jalen run. So surprise them with a quick pop pass or slant.

Goedert and Smitty were pretty much catching everything in that game. SMH. I’m still pissed at the loss.

Agreed. But I just think they need another mauler for some depth in the Interior OL.

We shall see what shakes out in the upcoming months.

Strong gut feeling Howie deals pick 30 … have to believe there will be teams willing to overpay somewhat to get a player they can use the 5th year option on … and get additional day 2-3 picks.  Same gut feeling says one of those picks is an OG.

It makes for a compelling picture, but it's a bit of an optical illusion ... Hurts dropped the ball before there was any contact and I do not think there was any actual grab of the facemask as the photo suggests.  Hurts just dropped the ball, plain and simple.

Just curious, you know this with more certainty than others that claim there was indeed a facemask how?

Here is an angle that shows quite authoritatively there was no grabbing of the facemask ... so I guess the simple answer to your question is because I have eyes and I watched the play.  The posted pic is a snapshot taken from an angle intentionally meant to deceive the viewer into believing there was a grab when there was not.

Was a simple question - absolutely no intention of offending.  Thanks for sharing that clip.

That angle looks like he hit the helmet but didn't grab. Wasn't anything there really. Ref was right there so he had a close up.

Yeah, my response may have come off more flippant than I meant.  It's all good.

Seumalo's deal is reportedly a 3 yr $24M deal.  Post #1 updated.

Bumps Sanders from the projected compensatory pick equation ... instead of a projected 6th we'll receive a projected 5th for losing Seumalo.

So what’s you sense of the 2024 comp pick situation now?

Didn’t all this start with Seumalo as the guy who was supposed to move to center when Kelce left? 😂

Sounds like your vision is as good as Dak’s.
