On the EMB, you can not discuss the Eagles Cap situation without adding in the word "hell"

The cap is simple. Every team in the NFL has begun using the method available to restructure and structure contracts to lower the cap at the start and push it out to later years. And this involves kicking the can down the road. As long as the salary cap keeps going up those later cap hit years when the player is no longer around aren't as impactful. Every team does it now. It is why you see teams go from 50mil above the cap at the start of the offseason get down to in the green. Teams only run into issues when a player doesn't want to restructure or take a pay cut. Then they are forced into eating the current cap hit or dead cap.

whether or not they have is not really the issue, the issue is that the wealthiest teams/owners could if they wanted...granted you can't really "buy" a championship in football because there are so many variables. 

 

So the QB market keeps rising.  Hurts at 51m per. Burrow going to get what... 55?  There has to be a limit on what percentage of the cap is paid to one player.  What's the max? 

Highest contract ever yet it seems like it escalates in a way favors for the Eagles to keep talent around Jalen. Nothing about the cap seems cut and dry.

Yeah for sure. As the cap rises so does his number but in a way that (based on the cap forecasts) will impact us less.
