Free Agency news and looking to some realistic options for us and players that would be nice options to come and replace some of the players already gone.

Rock Ya Sin CB - Had some up and down play for the Raiders. A temple Alumnj who has serious talent but playing on a terrible Raiders team can make anyone look inadequate at times. At 26 years old and coming into his prime years , he could very well be a cost efficient player that can play on a prove it type deal and will benefit from have better players around him and culture that helps get the best out of its players. A press man corner who reminds me a bit of Sheldon Brown when he played for us. Solid with decent ball skills and a very physical tackler.  Predicted contract? 1/2 years roughly 4.5 million a year.

Greedy Williams - another player who has a ton of talent but never put it altogether due to injuries. He was highly thought of coming out of the draft and known for his playmaking prowess. Doesn’t have elite speed but has great ball skills and anticipation of route concepts. Would be another talented young talent that is proving he deserves a big pay day down the road. Another 3-5 million dollar per year range on a prove it deal.

Parris Campbell - Nick Siarani knows him well coming from the Colts and was his OC at one point in time. With this underwhelming WR class I doubt we even attempt to in free agency but if there was a guy to target it most likely would be him due to his strengths working in the slot and he has elite speed to take the top off a defense. Quez needs some serious competition this year. Parris would be a cheap option and would be able to retain the offense quickly.

RB DeErnest Johnson RB - He’s one of my sleepers that not many know of him but every time he’s had the opportunity to play he flashes some serious talent. At 27 he has barely any tread on his tires and he can handle the physicality of getting high volume of carries. He’s a physical back that makes defenders make business decisions. He’s the type of back we need to help complement Kenny Gainwell and he will be pennies on the dollar cheap.

Ronnie Harrison SS  - Former Alabama star that’s played for the Browns and Jaguars. Has been a pretty productive player and is a physical force in the box. He isn’t the best athlete but if we’re going to be a zone heavy team he is more than capable of holding his own. He is another cheap young option that can be had for cheap and will be looking to cash in on his next opportunity.
Devin Bush LB  - never fully panned out for the Steelers but the kid has insane talent and didn’t really have much to work around him with the underperforming defense these last couple years especially when TJ has been sidelined. He and Nakobe Dean would give us much more speed than we had last year and also will be better options covering TEs and Backs. This is the theme I’m guessing when Howie decides to make some additions.

Young players getting their second contract that maybe for one reason or another didnt perhaps blossom under the organization they were playing for or had some injuries that held them back. These players are however talented and young so it’s definitely worth taking a flyer on. Just a few guys to keep an eye on

Agree with the premise that there is a market for guys who won't be signed until later in the process and will get a more reasonable amount of money. I suspect the Eagles will do their shopping in that aisle of the market. That as well as the market for guys who are cut by their teams after the draft.

Also, I don't think Nakobe Dean is all that fast. His rep was instincts and knowing where to go more so than actually burning it up in the openfield.

Like all the players you mentioned there.

And as said they'll all be relatively inexpensive.

CJGJ should be added to the "2nd Wave" as he is still lingering out there....guess the league isn't tossing 20 million a year around at him lol Although, if he got paid to Tweet, he'd be rolling in the dough right about now.

QB - Brissett, Mariota, Bridgewater, Minshew

DT- Cox

LB - Tranquill, Bush

S - Adderly, Thornhill, Rapp, CJGJ

Brissett now signed with the Commanders.

Rapp is a name to watch he has some flaws but i also think he has some good upside.

So is Orlando Brown. Those are good players who will still get paid - just not what they originally expected in terms of "breaking the bank". 2nd wave that I consider is more bargain hunting.

Loved Adderly coming out of college but he hasn't turned into the player I thought he would. Local kid - wouldn't be a terrible sign on a 1 yr deal as 3rd safety / compete with Blankenship.

All good names listed up in this thread.

Mariota and Adderly would be ok with me.

Saw Adderly play in games at college, as I live in Delaware and that's where he played college ball.

Was hoping he would be the pick when we took JJA...he who shall remain unnamed

Look who we have here … I was right about Greedy Williams 😎

Honestly the Eagles have made far more moves than I anticipated they would be making right now. We were led to believe that they’re in cap purgatory yet somehow they keep pulling out signings. Far better results than I originally expected.
