We finally got him after all these years.

Good fit for this team. He is also a guy who can keep a team afloat for a few games if needed. 

Adds a good camp arm and as already mentioned can run the plays Minshew was not a threat to. I had no problem keeping Minshew and he ultimately signed for less, but now if we have a big lead in the 4th quarter, our read options should be way more effective than if Minshew was closing out the game. 

Thank the Gods we didn't end up trading Fletcher Cox for this Stiff.

Moreover if Hurts does indeed miss a game or two we have a guy who can come in and run this style of offense. Minshew never fit that mold.

Chip Kelly is a dope. He’s literally no better than Kotite. Kotite gave up two first for Antone Davis. Chip Kelly wanted to give up a draft and Fletcher Cox for a backup level quarterback. Same kind of stupid.

Because he couldn’t. I remember the reports at the time was that Chip was so adamant about trying to get Mariota that he convinced the Titans they should take him. 😂

Think Bridgewater would have been a better backup but doesn't really matter
