UK_EaglesFan89
Philadelphia Eagles fourth running back is an obvious choice Will Michael Warren make the Philadelphia Eagles roster? At the time of this story being published, the Philadelphia Eagles have not picked up a veteran running back, and it is likely they are going to stand pat. They have some guys in the building who they trust for the 2020 season and some younger guys who they want to see compete for a roster spot and for playing time. Miles Sanders is expected to be the lead back after growing tremendously in his rookie season. Without him, the playoff push would’ve been much more difficult. There’s also Boston Scott, who came off the practice squad and had a breakout season. There were plenty of moments in which it felt like he saved the 2019 season. He’ll likely have a role similar to what Darren Sproles had during his time in Philly. Behind Sanders and Scott, Corey Clement is returning for a fourth season. After suffering season-ending injuries in each of the past two seasons, he is hoping to contribute, as he did in 2018 before he went down and in 2017, the Super Bowl season. With his experience in the scheme and production as a role player, he’ll likely see some time in the backfield as well. That likely leaves just one spot left. While the Birds did keep five running backs in 2017, it’s not something they usually do. One of the three guys competing for that last spot is Michael Warren II. He’s definitely an intriguing option, given what he did in college and how he might fit with the Eagles. Let’s take a look at what separates Warren from the other options and gives him a shot to make the roster. https://insidetheiggles.com/2020/06/24/philadelphia-eagles-fourth-running-back-choice/
jsb235
My guess is that the Eagles will keep 3 running backs and then three guys on the practice squad, so essentially everyone will make the team. The only real question is who is the third guy who will be on the roster, and I think that will come down to Clement being healthy and who does the best in short yardage. If Warren doesn't make the team, I don't think he will get snatched up. While some scouts had a draftable grade on him, others didn't even list him as one of the better UDFA running backs. I like Holyfield a little more, but only because he looked good last year for the Panthers in the preseason.

time2rock
I don't even think the third RB is an obvious choice yet alone the fourth.

DeathByEagle
Eagles recently have always kept 4 RBs. Don't see this year any different.
