March 23, 20232 yr Who cares who he wants if a team doesn't want him. Highly doubt he would be brought in here.
March 23, 20232 yr I’d take it for the right price and that’s gotta be very right price. Love him or hate him he had decent short yardage numbers, good td production for limited use last year and is a good blocker. Do we have the room? Ehhh
March 23, 20232 yr Stating the obvious here but just because we are on his list does not mean we have any interest in him. Highly doubt we do / will.

I wondered about that too but if true, it implies the Eagles (along with Cincy and the Jets) have made an offer that he's considering.
March 23, 20232 yr Must be using us for leverage. I would think Cinn would be the desired destination
March 23, 20232 yr My first reaction to this was heck no, but Elliott can move the pile in short yardage. Penny gets hurt a lot, Gainwell is untested, and Scott is great in small doses. If they got him then they wouldn’t need to constantly run the sneak with Jalen so much too. He is definitely not a bell cow back anymore. He’d be a spot guy like the rest of the pile. For the right price I’d be in.

I’d be completely surprised after signing Penny even if that was a minimal deal. I think the better approach to the position is to add a RB in the draft and also get a better look at Sermon. Gainwell/Scott/Penny/Sermon/draft pick should be a pretty darn good RB room.
March 23, 20232 yr I’ll add that everyone is always so afraid of the Cowboys (even though they have done nothing in almost 30 years), but Dak has had some of his better games against the Eagles. If nothing else wouldnt it be nice to pick Zeke’s mind on certain plays they like to call in certain situations? Wouldn’t that be worth veterans minimum?
March 23, 20232 yr I wouldn't count on Sermon at all. Niners gave up on him right away when they drafted Davis-Price. He could disappear from the league very soon.

Except his former OC for a good number of years is no longer in Dallas. Might be worthless intel.

For him to say he’s narrowed it down to the Eagles and two other teams that there’s a potential chance the Eagles did give him an offer. He’s probably putting this out to get someone to pay a little more though. It’s all part of negotiation tactics. The league is trying to end the Eagles tush push play so they might be considering brining in the guy for spot situations. I know this much. Zeke is better at short yardage and scoring red zone touchdowns than all of the backs we had so far.

His production has steadily spiraled downward. The Eagles don't need him at all.
