March 23, 20232 yr I kinda, sorta, maybe, possibly think that this might not be the worst idea in the world, maybe… We have wanted a bruiser back since Blount…

March 23, 20232 yr if we are thinking about doing something this stupid we should instead go try and trade for king henry
March 23, 20232 yr Whenever he does that stupid feed me celebration, I can't help but picture that he's firing clam chowder in his face and it's dripping from his beard. Makes me want to barf.

He has looked slow and unimpressive the past two season so I would get someone younger and fresh, probably in the draft. He’s not as good as Sanders so if we entertain signing him, it should be for less than Sanders was paid and also be a one year prove it deal.

The Eagles don't need him at all. I’m not in the least confused about what he is. I’m not trying to tell you I expect him to be an all down 20+ a game carry back nor or anything. With that being the case the guy was very effective last year on short yardage plays. He was also effective in the red zone by scoring 12 touchdowns. Him getting the ball in short yardage would mean less sneaks/hits for Jalen. If we could get a diminished Elliott at a bargain price then what does it hurt? If he stinks he gets cut. We aren’t talking about Chip giving Murray a bad contract while completely using the player incorrectly here. Like I wrote before I’d do it for the right price. Right now on this roster the only person I trust to get a short yardage score or first down is our soon to be 40-50million dollar quarterback. Something has to give.
March 24, 20232 yr If Howie saw a use for him and we could get him on a Vet Minimum contract with easy outs at every turn, I'd be 'meh' at the prospect. Probably the only 'up side', would be if he helped beat the Cowboys and the angst that it may cause Cowboys 'fans'. Aside from that though, I'd rather draft someone if we're to add another RB.
March 24, 20232 yr I guess I'm the only one who would like this and thinks he's still a good back. Hell, he always seems to play great against us.
March 24, 20232 yr Verdict is offer him a $ 2 MM, 1 year deal with $2 MM of potential bonuses and if that doesn’t work, take one of the RBs mocked to us in the 2nd- 4th rounds who may be as good, younger and cheaper.

March 24, 20232 yr How much would he pay us to let him play? And would him giving us money help us with the cap?
March 24, 20232 yr He might not be what he was but used as a 1-2 with Pollard the last 2 years he averaged 900 odd yards and 11TD's a year, If he came at the right price, I wouldn't hate it if it happened. We'd steamroll the whole league with him, Penny and Gainwell as a committee.
