Posted April 2, 20232 yr will it play out like this who knows the qb’s were valued high for so long but recently the texans have been going defense with the #2 pick and that’s allowed the qb’s to fall some.. in this case i had some options at 10 but the texans came calling offering 3rd and 6th round picks to jump the titans and draft Bryce Young. Leaving the titans to settle for an OT and Witherspoon to much of a value to consider any other trades. Still looking to add a couple more draft picks to the fold at 30 the raiders came calling armed with a good amount of draft picks and looking to add as much talent as they can to compete in that afc west before people lose jobs. picked up another 3rd and 5th to move back to 38. there was a number of defensive linemen (that we have met with during the draft process) and even a lb and rb considered for this pick but i decided to stay in the secondary and replace CJGJ with Branch. later in round 2 we we grabbed our olinemen giving us another piece of the puzzle either as depth or starter this year. 3rd round we added to the defensive line with 2 solid prospects and picked up a wr that while not the biggest has really good speed and rac ability as a former rb. while he played outside at cincy he competes for the number 3 here in the slot with the eagles using multiple formations and alignments at wr. i had picked up a 5th round pick from the raiders but somehow when it came up i guess i clicked accept on a trade with the giants that sent us 2 7th round picks and a 6 and 7th in next years draft… i doubt i would have made that trade but i made the most of it and went with it.. Sadly not drafting for over 100 picks saw a lot of talent go off the board so my late round picks amounted to a lot of smaller school prospects with upside.. the most notable in my mind is Caleb Murphy who broke the record for most NCAA sacks ever in a season with 25.5 on the year. discuss away 🙂
April 4, 20232 yr That's a hell of a haul for sure, but I just don't see how they can turn 6 picks (with 2 in the 7th round) into 11.

Yeah those trades just aren't super realistic, especially the Houston one considering their third is basically a 2nd rounder.

April 30, 20232 yr At #12, I would have probably picked best of OLine / DLine that fell there. When have Eagles ever picked CB at #12-ish? Always trenches. I like the next 2 picks, Branch and Mauch.
