Does this get you through the day? Is the fact that there are people out there with more friends that crushing to you?

It's the only way I can sleep at night

Why buy a time share when I too have friends with homes in the Adirondacks who let me stay for free?

Hook, line, and sinker lmao. They got you.

They got me because… checks notes… I don’t see a big deal traveling with friends.

Glad I could help.

I know that's what you are seeing. That's what's so funny.

No, what’s funny is thinking that traveling with a friend of 25 years is a scandal.

This doesn’t sound good to me either, but so much of our Federal government is corrupt. Is this uncommon among justices or have others partaken of the same perks?  If what he says is true (I don’t know if it is or not), that he was following the old rules and the new rules change this, and others received similar benefits, then it’s just another example of swampy behavior that needed to change.

Sucker.

They’re literally personal friends.

I know this may come as a shock to the hoi polloi, but successful people have friends, and usually those friends are also successful.

And they collect notzee memorabilia. Par for the course, amirite?

 this one got me pretty good

When I first read this story I assumed it was straight forward corruption but now that I’ve found out that it was just a quid pro quo between a Supreme Court Justice and a billionaire donor who are friends I guess it’s no big deal.

Thomas is corrupt.

LOL at thinking going on vacation with a personal friend is corrupt.

I was wondering if the response would be "what about" or "this is not a big deal". Thank you for clearing it up so quickly.

And that is where you are completely wrong.  Unlike the cult, I don't give a crap about anyone's political officiation.  If you are corrupt, do something unethical, do something illegal, Democrat, Republican, independent, than you should be held accountable. Period.

Every year for years, what your friends don't do that?

Something tells me the reaction here would be different if it were a Biden or Clinton....

It would but that's the thing with politics that annoys me

Not at all surprising to see who defends this.

There are behaviors that are FINE for a citizen, that ARE NOT for a government employee.

Even TEW ought to know that. Although, I am not surprised, he is okay with a Supreme Court Justice accepting gifts like this, even though it is clearly against the law.

your bias is showing through your trolling. it's so obvious.

The ethics violation is not declaring the gift.

He kept it hidden. Because he knew it would be seen as unethical.

I'm sure John Roberts is pissed off.

Ding ding ding, we have a winnah!!

I am sure TEW knows this, he just doesn't care. There is no liberal involved, so things are fine.

Any change in your views here, TEW?

The trips, the house, the checks from a non-existent company, does any of this register with you?
