Burrow, Mahomes, etc. the top QBs get huge contracts this is nothing new. Howie structured it in a way that gives them flexibility plus they already have everyone on offense under contract the next 2 years, and on defense the core players mostly signed for 2-3 years as well.

A team that seemed to have many other pressing needs and he drafted a QB after signing Wentz to a big contract. It was then I wondered WTF is he doing. But he's proven that he has a plan that goes 2-3 years into the future and it's sometimes hard to see when it comes to personnel and salary cap issues.
