I feel like I’d be ok if giving up 10 and 30 was used as the package needed for either Will Anderson, Jr. or Jalen Carter (assuming Howie and Co. feel ok about his character). As for 10 and 62, it’s really those same two guys for me. I just don’t know how far these two picks could bump the Eagles up realistically. I guess all I’m trying to say is there are two players in this draft I’d feel good about trading up for, but after that I’d rather the Eagles trade back from 10 or sit tight and take someone they were head over heels about.
April 25, 20232 yr There isn't anyone, Will Anderson is probably the only prospect I would happily bet on making the grade and even then he's produced as a 'bama defensive end pressuring QB's facing one of the best secondaries in college football so I don't think he's generational at the next level, just very good. Carter is good but again he was part of one of the best College defenses there is where offenses had to account for multiple high end players, maybe he comes in and blows the league away and good luck to him, but I can't ignore the red flags. Yes kids do dumb things with cars all the time, but Jalen isn't trying to land a mid level accounting job, he's asking for a multi million dollar contract in a career that requires discipline and dedication. I think the QB picks are better than last year but none of them are can't miss prospects, Levis in particular baffles me, his qualifications appear to be being tall and having a decent arm. So no I wouldn't trade, the only trade I would make is 10 and our third rounder for 14 and the Patriots second rounder.
April 25, 20232 yr Benefit of 10 and 30 is spreading wealth, or even breaking those down into a lot of day 2 picks. But if you try and just go apples to apples, Nolan Smith at 10 and Calijah Kancey at 30… id rather have Will Anderson. Luke Van Ness at 10 and Brian Bresee at 30… I’d much rather roll the dice on Jalen Carter.
April 25, 20232 yr No. I'd rather stay at 10 and get a player that falls because of QB and other positions we don't need, and take the BPA (or even trade back from 10) and keep 30 to pick or trade and get another quality player, then trade both those for 1 player.
April 25, 20232 yr If the Eagles are happy with Carter’s work ethic/character, I would potentially be willing to give up 10 and 62. Not 10 and 30.

April 25, 20232 yr Given we don’t need a QB it really is only Carter and Anderson. I don’t think there are any other players worth giving up #62 for let alone #30. I just think if you can’t get one of those guys then this is a draft to stock up on players because it isn’t an especially talented group this year.
April 26, 20232 yr A defensive lineman or a corner/safety. There seem to be some excellent DL prospects.

I could see perhaps a mix of picks from this draft and for 2024 but I highly doubt Howie uses a bunch from this draft.
April 27, 20232 yr 10 and 30 get you to pick 4 which still probably won't get you Will Anderson. 10 and 62 get you to pick 7 which still might not get you Jalen Carter. Gonna be a fun draft hopefully.
