Also I can't stress this enough F Gannon for fielding calls about his next job before the Superbowl the goofy weirdo. It’s not a slight win - we got the equivalent of a late Rd 3 / early Rd 4 pick.
April 28, 20232 yr Have to say I’m not really sure this one is very fair. I think they should have just had to give us their third round pick. They broke the rules.

Not sure if true but i saw some people say the league gave initial compensation but the Eagles wanted a better pick in this draft so added to the deal.

April 28, 20232 yr I hope Gannon falls flat on his face as a HC. Glad he is working for one of the worst NFL Franchises.
April 28, 20232 yr The Eagles got 66 for 94 and a future 5th round pick, AND got rid of Gannon. Yet some people are complaining 🙄

Apparently the Cardinals "self reported"...smart move to avoid bigger punishment if there was an investigation. EDIT Didn't realize it was you. Should have ended the post with "your majesty"...
April 29, 20232 yr Any potential coach hirings should be put on halt until the season is officially over. Total BS

Plus we had 12 picks next year. With the two trades today, we are now down to 10. 1, 2, 2, 3, 3, 5, 5, 5, 5, 6. Between the 2 x 3s and 4 x 5s we still have - neither the 4th we gave up for Carter or the 5th we gave up to move from bottom of 3rd Rd to top of 3rd Rd tomorrow will hurt all that much. Damn I take it thats not even taking into account possible comp picks either? We have a ton of ammo to move around the draft next year... We are really loaded and in great shape to replace aging vets who most have had a guy brought in to take over eventually anyway... Howie is embarrassing other gms

The latest projection now post all the trades (Carter, Ringo) is 1, 2, 2, 3, 5, 5, 5, 5, 6, 6. We gave up a 3 for Ringo, We got back a 5 for 2 7s this year. And one of our expected comp picks has been downgraded from a 5 to a 6 - not sure why but that was the latest projection I saw.

I thought comp picks were awarded after the season leading into the upcoming draft... So I would have assumed we were already awarded our picks for the draft that had just passed... I take it the players we lost after this season will be comp picks in the 2024 draft then?

Those picks are what we expect to have for 2024 draft. So the comps pick haven't officially been awarded yet but people have guessed what they will as the largest variable is the contract the FAs receive. We will get 4 picks which is the maximum that can be awarded. Hargrave will get us 3. The the others (2x5s and 6) are for Dillard, Seumalo, CGJ.
