July 28, 20232 yr He might be an awesome pass rusher but the rest of the league was right to pass on drafting him because he did not rack up enough personal statistics while Georgia was going 29-1, winning 2 titles, and demolishing everyone on D.

Very excited for Nolan Smith to see what he can do. So pleased with this. Howie had neglected the D in the draft for a long time. Last couple of years have really helped though and finally in Davis, Dean, Carter, Smith, Brown and Ringo we finally have some exciting young talent on D.

Pretty incredible how much talent he brought in during such a short amount of time.

Smith has a chance to be a "complete" player, not just a pass rush specialist. I think Brandon Graham is going to be a role model for Nolan to continue his progression into a pro bowl, complete nfl player with a team first attitude.

July 29, 20232 yr "-Rookie first-round pick Nolan Smith had an impressive session and was able to show off his unique skill set because of Reddick’s absence. Mainly playing as an overhang player coming off the left side, Smith showed his ability to generate pressure on one play and quickly followed that with solid coverage skills against Dallas Godert and Boston Scott.” https://www.si.com/nfl/eagles/news/philadelphia-eagles-training-camp-takeaways-nolan-smith-aj-brown-jalen-hurts-nick-sirianni When Smith really starts to understand the NFL he’s going to be a heck of a player for the Eagles.

Good thing the Giants didn't get him
July 29, 20232 yr I don't know who this "Matt" is but I've seen several posts about these exact situations beating Driscoll, Lane, being in sack situations (they don't allow actually sacking the QB in camp).

Matt Collins? And how does he force a fumble on Mariota if he can't touch the qb? Or is he just that good?

October 23, 20231 yr Happy to see the rookie get his first career sack. Hopefully this means he gets more time out there. I’d rather see him get opportunities over some of the other guys.
