Like the athleticism hope he can reign it in dude had 31 missed tackles in his career.😳

If he can clean that up he's got a lot of tools to work with.

He's a solid tackler, but he can be overaggressive at times when trying to lay big hits and over runs the play. It's a slight worry, but I think with pro coaching we will see that cleaned up; I'd rather have my Safety being over aggressive than not aggressive enough (like blast from the past Nate Allen).

Sometimes I wonder if after that sheet show of a 2020 season and the Reagor debacle that Lurie gave Howie another kick in the ass and told him to get his sheet together.

Howie has taken it to another level since that BS too.

Or he finally gave him free reign and admitted he (Lurie) had too much influence. Who knows.

Yeah, I‘ll give him a shot. 😁

He seems to have stopped trying to be the smartest guy in the room and isn't getting cute with his picks. Getting guys from championship SEC teams doesn't hurt.

No doubt there is a degree of luck involved here. But many other GMs would mess with it by moving too much or not enough.

Well and that early pick is well earned. All four picks may be starters in the future.. and now four lottery tickets. It is good work paired with a bit of luck.

Yeah haven't checked but trading up in the first instead of back seems to be working out

I like when they go after a guy they want rather than acting agnostic.  Agnostic isn't a good thing when drafting imo

I like the Brown pick but in-the-box safety who can't tackle isn't a great description for a player

Not really a good year to take a S ... not the strongest class.  There's Branch and then there's everyone else.

That's the problem... he isn't solely an in the box safety. Bad description

And he can tackle.

He’s considered the best "true” deep safety in the class, and would have played there if Illinois’s secondary wasn’t bananas. Kid is an underrated ballhawk that plays physical football.

I just noticed the guy was born London, Ontario.  Woop woop. A fellow Canadian on my team. 🇨🇦🍁

It all still needs to payoff on the field but I do think Howie is doing much better as a drafter now than he was in the past. He still has a first name Jalen obsession though. 😂

Agreed. And he said it himself as to WHY he is better. "We didn't try to get cute." The Justin Jefferson cuteness made him change how he picks.

Why would he call him in the box when brown is clearly a good cover guy?

The guy is a ball hawk with a LOT of interceptions. He isn't just a "box safety."

This defense is going to be flying around sheesh

Good pick!

Howie just letting the draft come to him and just making the sound pick allows him to be the smartest guy in the room when it comes to trades, contracts, and savvy FA pickups. Not overthinking the draft has turned him into the best GM in football.

Good breakdown ... even if it's Chris Simms ... lol

Howie went to his school to scout another player and every time he turned on the tape, this guy showed up. All over the filed. Deep, in the box, blitzing.

And they drafted him.

Incredible story. This guy shined on another players tape. Eye in the sky doesn't lie.
