We can't really know until we see how these guys develop, but for a draft-weekend reaction, I can't remember a better first four picks. Or a better first five picks. And if your only "complaints" are that the sixth-round pick was a good backup QB prospect who maybe isn't quite as much a match for our system or that the seventh-round pick was a guy you've never heard of before, then you have no real complaints. And if, in addition to that, we made a very inexpensive trade to add a pretty good and proven RB... This has been as good a draft overall as I can remember.

You think that stings us as fans imagine how Howie feels when dude puts up damn near 2000 yards in a season and is avg 1500+ per year from the outset. Has to drive him a little bananas at times.
April 30, 20232 yr This kids story is heart warming. He's a twin. He overcame a lot of adversity just to get to this point. I believe Eagles fans are going to love how he plays.

The silver lining in the dark cloud of that bad draft pick.
April 30, 20232 yr I watched his media interview and he's a very likable guy. I hope he can play because he's someone it's easy to root for.

Considering how all of us thought this off-season would lead to massive defections, little to no return on free agents, not enough draft picks to really do much, and an eventual (cap hell) unmanageable contract for the quarterback, well Howie proved all that to be untrue. This may be his best off-season yet.

May 1, 20232 yr Really want to see this guy as a Day 1 starter. He's got enough talent that we should commit to riding out the rookie learning curve as soon as possible.

I believe Eagles fans are going to love how he plays. He is a passionate and tenacious safety…a position that Philly has always loved. Waters, Dawkins, Jenkins…whenever we have a good to great player in that role, this city always embraces them. I’m not going to compare him to anyone as that is ridiculously unfair, but he was my biggest want with pick 62…I’m ecstatic he’s an Eagle. 3 hours ago, Arsenal79 said: Really want to see this guy as a Day 1 starter. Cute or not.
