Post-apocalyptic show based on the series of books by Hugh Howey (which I highly recommend) in which society is organized into underground silos to keep them from exposure to "above ground." Just finished the pilot and think they did a great job with bringing the silo to life. Some big names in here like Tim Robbins, Rashida Jones, Common, Iain Glen, and Will Patton. I absolutely loved the book series, and am very excited to see Howey's visions come to life, as he is very involved with the show. If you like post-apocalyptic fiction definitely give this a shot.

1st two episodes were very well done. You truly feel immersed in an underground society. Extremely happy with it so far.

Totally did not realize this was out.  Will definitely be checking it out.

Yeah wasn’t advertised much. I gotta say between Severance, Ted Lasso, Shrinking, Truth Be Told, Silo, etc. that Apple TV may be the best quality streaming service out there in terms of original content.

Silo episode 3 was very good. Really enjoying this, and it’s stayed pretty faithful to the books thus far.

One episode in, I’m hooked. But going to try and spread them out

They're only releasing one per week after they released the first 2, so they'll do it for you.

I know, but if I start binging immediately I'm going to get used to the binge. That said, I am 2 in and loving it.

Did I just watch

an entire episode on generator repair?

Yes, and I loved every minute of it.

Spoiler

Haven’t read the book but thought we were about to lose our third main character in as many episodes.

I definitely recommend the book series. Hugh Howey, the author, is one of the biggest Amazon self-publishing success stories of all time.

I'm through 3 episodes of this and loving it so far

it's snowpiercer...except vertical!  i think it's a metaphor!

It took until the 5th episode for

Spoiler

a main character not to die or disappear.  Instead we lost a side character instead. This show is going to be a one man show by the end of it.

I mean…it’s based off a book series and has been pretty much spot on so far.

Well....

Spoiler

We finally made it through an episode without a character dying.  Must be a filler episode.

This show is so good - bummed there's only one more episode left this season.  Finally starting to get some answers and then we'll have to wait for season 2!

I had a feeling that the helmet display was the fake, but was surprised to see all the other Silos.  The tape thing was a cool little twist too.

Spoiler

They set up both really really well. First the birds flew in the exact same formation as the one on the video which is how she figured display was a lie.

Second, early in the season when Nichols talks about the heat tape she stole from IT (who provides the tape for the suit) she talked about how it was absolute crap and broke down immediately.  Hence "Supply is Good” meaning the tape for hers wasn’t junk and would actually protect her.

Did you fogtags forget season 2? Once severance ended and I still had a couple weeks of remaining free trial time, I chose this as the show to watch. Just finished it tonight, with maybe 36 hours of trial to spare. It’s wild in my brain that with all the plot lines that filled out season 1, somehow they "made it work” (at least in a binge setting) having Nichols completely absent from the entire silo 18 cast for 10 episodes.
