Reports are Houston will release veteran CB Desmond King as they trim their roster to 53.  We do have quite a crowded CB room (really nice to be able to type that!), but he does offer versatility as a punt returner as well (had 2 PRs for TDs earlier in his career).  Only 28 years old.  Wonder if there should be any consideration to signing him more for his PR abilities (and obviously serve as depth at nickel CB with McPhearson out for the season) to free up a roster spot at WR (i.e. cut Covey and sign him to the practice squad).

I’d be ok with bringing him in if he does get cut. That said we have some young promising CBs so that may just hurt their progress?
