Was in Tokyo for work the last few days, so finally home and readjusting to the time zone. Here's some thoughts on where we stand: Getting back DG for 1 year, $7mm is a freaking steal. I'd be shocked if there weren't better offers than that on the market. The Ebiketie signing is good value, but I think they still need to add at edge (Greenard, draft) We now COULD move AJ before June 1, but would basically eat all our remaining effective cap space Best guess below on there we stand

Anyone concerned about Greenard’s lack of production last season and the fact he’ll be 29 at the start of the season? Unsure what his contract demands would be, but I am weary of those factors.
  4. vikas83
My only strong opinion was that we couldn't trade him pre June 1, and that made all the stories from national "reporters" ridiculous because none of them were doing basic math. Now, with the Goedert deal, we COULD do it pre June 1, but I still think that is unlikely. But I don't take the "reports" from people like Russini, Garofolo, Rappoport, etc. to mean anything since they all beclowned themselves by never bringing up the cap impact. Not sure why I'd take any of them seriously when they have proven to be so incompetent and lazy.
  5. vikas83
I think it remains a post June 1 trade if it happens, primarily because I think Howie wants NE's 2027 1st, not pick 31 in a weak draft.

Trump literally dropping everything to rush to the defense of micropenises might actually be the funniest Trump moment yet.

There are some usual suspects in CVON that are your typical MAGA weirdos that you just kind of aren't surprised when they go from "THE LEFT IS A CHILD EATING CABAL AND ANYONE WHO VOTES FOR THEM IS GOING TO HELL. TRUMP WILL RELEASE THE EPSTEIN FILES!!!!!!!" to "well there's a difference between prepubescent and 16 years old... and honestly who cares about the Epstein files?" in a matter of a few months. They feel zero shame about the things they do or say as they go about their daily MAGA routines.. They've wrapped their entire identities around being those people. But there's also that group of people here in CVON who voted for Trump and tried really hard to separate themselves from the typical MAGA cult because they wanted to be labeled as normies. This is the group that really worries me. I saw those same people spout off about Epstein and how they cared about the victims. Where are they now? I see one half in here cracking jokes and pretending to be above it all, probably hoping the rest of us just sort of forget about the last few years. The other half just straight up disappeared... like I haven't seen them in forever. The "normies" who now know better but don't have the moral backbone to demand accountability for some of the most disgusting and egregious crimes ever perpetrated upon humanity because it'd be a public acknowledgement that they weren't as smart or as normal as they wanted everyone to believe... when I wonder why we don't arrest pedophiles in this country I look straight at this group.

vic Fangio on mukuba +5 Vic Fangio noted significant growth in rookie safety Andrew Mukuba by late 2025, stating he is "not a rookie anymore" due to improved consistency and fewer big plays allowed. While initially describing Mukuba’s season as "uneven", Fangio credited his development with helping the Eagles' defensive improvement, although he previously noted the need for more strength. X X +4 Key details regarding Fangio's assessment of Mukuba: Progressive Trust: After an uneven start, Fangio recognized Mukuba’s improved consistency in November 2025, noting a reduction in the "bad plays" that occurred early in the season. Transition from Rookie: By game 11, Fangio stated that due to playing time and experience, Mukuba was no longer playing like a typical rookie. "Rookie Tax": Fangio referenced the need to "pay taxes" (experience growing pains) when playing rookies, acknowledging he had to live with some shaky play earlier in the season. Physicality and Role: While recognized as a "hitter," early assessments pointed to a need for more strength and consistency in his tackling, with hope that he could become a major, reliable piece of the secondary. I'll take what Fangio says of Mukuba over the eye test of people sitting on their couch lol.

Jets’ draft picks in the anticipated 2027 NFL Draft: 1st - own 1st - Colts 1st - Cowboys or Packers (whichever is higher) 2nd - own 3rd - own 4th - own 5th - own 6th - 49ers* 6th - Chiefs* 6th - Eagles* lol I mean the Jets will likely still mess this up but that could be a franchise turnaround draft for them

In case anyone's curious, this is what the right's talking about as war rages and the economy collapses. I've got theory that the entire reason we have fascism here and around the world basically boils down to micropenises. Trump's obviously got one, Levin's got one, you can't tell me Steven Miller doesn't have one. If I'm the next Dem President, on day 1 I launch a massive initiative to finally cure the plague of micropenises, Operation Warp Speed-style. We landed on the moon, we cured AIDS, we have nanobots, etc., you can't tell me we can't make a D bigger. The right would love it because, well, you know, and the left would love it because it would be a real, earnest attempt to save democracy now and in the future.

AJ is nothing like TO, but unfortunately he did turn himself into a distraction. I don't know how anybody could argue otherwise. He was a storyline week after week and his teammates and coaches were bombarded with media questions regarding his "situation" the entire year. That is the epitome of distraction. The, "just wants to win" claim was debunked by AJ himself. He wasn't happy with the wins. He wants to dominate his matchup. There's a huge difference. Barkley and Hurts are examples of players that just want to win. Smith will be just as good a player regardless of players on the field with him. You can argue that AJ makes the offense better and I'd agree, but he doesn't make Smith "better." I'm fine with AJ staying and I'm fine with him leaving --- especially if that's what he wants. I don't really like the idea of him being a team captain, though, if he can't figure out how not to be a distraction.

If things are going so well, why would the US need help? Why are there more troops being sent to the ME? Also saw a report this morning threatening to censor the media. One has to admit to being blind if you don't realize what is going on here and continue to support this.

I've been thinking about the perspective here of the roster. I believe that the 2024 team changed our expectations. That team was a unicorn. Ten players from the 2024 team were in the NFL Top-100 last summer - Barkley (1), Hurts (19), Johnson (23), Baun (26), Brown (29), Carter (43), Mitchell (49), DeJean (60), Mailata (69), Sweat (95). Only Sweat is no longer with the team. That doesn't include DeVonta, Nolan, Dickerson, Jurgens, Goedert, and Hunt. I understand that we are now two seasons removed from that team and the outlook for certain players has changed. It is also obvious that there are a handful of roster needs for the upcoming season. All that said, this is still a very, very talented roster there is no reason to be giving up on the season already.
  39. we_gotta_believe
Yep, and about a third of them are already too spineless to admit they're supporting them right now.

So Orange Dufus is now begging allies to help with opening up the Strait and has so far been getting crickets as no one. Maybe if he had consulted them and built support / consensus before going in and not spent the vast majority of his presidency publicly bashing and being an unreliable economic partner to them he might have gotten a better response? I already know the answer but did this incompetent administration really not have the foresight to see this being Iran's response and having a plan ready to go to counter it? So much for 5-D chess.

Stop worrying about safety. Howie's gonna sign Epps and draft someone, they'll be playing next to 2 stud corners and a really good CB2. Worry about Edge.

Hamilton ran a 4.59 and they had similar 10 yard splits. He has similar length to Hamilton. 4.5 speed is plenty fast as long as he understands the defense and what his role is in relation to the offensive play. That's the hardest part to project. I did like how he understood the routes in the red zone plays. He did a nice job getting just enough depth to break up one pass in the endzone. He is a solid tackler and forced a bunch of fumbles.

Just got back to Santa Fe after from Sedona to see the Goedert news. Glad he is back and at a reasonable price. I'll wait for someone smart like @vikas83 to tell us the cap ramifications. On the surface, we still have a great weapon and I fully expect them to draft a TE to groom.
