I mean, if you want to play this game, then Foles played a defense that benched their best CB for reasons that remain a mystery so he got to pick on Eric Rowe all night. Nick and Jalen were both brilliant in all 3 Super Bowls.

My lady partner attended a gratitude seminar and it has been a frequent topic of conversation lately. So... I am grateful that we have: Competent ownership. Lurie is focused on winning. Willing to spend and has embraced the community. A great GM and front office. His strengths, cap management and deal making, have become legendary. A coach that can coach in Philly. It's a difficult gig. Not just the press and fans, but also working within the ownership and management here. He isn't perfect, but IMO he is perfect for here. Fangio and Stoutland. The best roster in the league. We had 9 players in the NFL top 100. A forum such as this to enjoy the experience within a community of passionate fans. The ignore option. Two Lombardis in the trophy case.

***Sigh, ok, one last time for the people who are ignorant of history. The reason this is abhorrent and catastrophic for the US in the long term is because it is a clear abandonment by the US of the post WW2 order. Very simply, after WW2 the entire global financial and security systems (in the West) were restructured to acknowledge US supremacy. This has provided the US with basically incalculable economic advantages -- most directly, the USD being the reserve currency of the world creates a limitless demand for USD assets (namely treasuries), which keeps our borrowing rates low and imports cheap thanks to a stronger dollar. The entire global financial system is built upon the USD, and this has allowed us to become the wealthiest nation in the world many times over. In exchange, the US took on the mantle of the defender of democracy through things like NATO, SEATO, etc. We created a world completely subservient and indebted to us, and we reaped the benefits. That's what makes things like this so unbelievably dangerous -- by retreating from the world, we create a vacuum for the rise of authoritarians (Russia, China, etc.), and we create doubts in the minds of our allies. But simply -- if we stop holding up our end of the bargain, nothing stops them from retreating from USD assets and markets, which would be catastrophic. What's even more ridiculous is we are throwing away a system that has been to our benefit for 80 years for no reason whatsoever. The Ukraine conflict wasn't costing US lives or even that many US assets (as compared to Vietnam, or Iraq). We had Russia tied down and a country willing to keep them in a quagmire with our limited support. It was going perfectly, as far as the US is concerned. Tanking the post world war 2 order to end a war where we were getting exactly what we wanted -- that's stupid on another level.

For myself, last night I started out posting about Allen the way some of our "fans" post about our own QB on gameday. Whenever there's another game on national TV people come out of the woodworks to comment only when another QB makes a good play to say they wish our QB would do that, they don't comment on their mistakes and INTs though. And they don't have anything to say when Hurts wins, completes throws and deep pass TDs. These "fans" wait til he makes a mistake to show up. Or just troll and criticize him when he completes a pass saying it was a bad throw and the receiver made a play. Never giving credit to their team's QB. Then Allen really did have a terrible performance. Texans defense was brutal. I also posted doom and gloom that that game was over when it was a one score game because too many of our pessimistic fans claim a game is over in the 1st quarter when the other team makes a couple plays. Y'all don't call out those people for hating on their own team so much. Obviously our offense is low performing with a lot of weapons, we're all complaining about that and wanting more. It's pointing out hypocrisy. Hurts gets extreme criticism and called dumb, trash, ass, even homophobic slurs when he makes a bad play, or even when he completes a deep pass for a TD. Then you look around the league and even the top QBs are making boneheaded stupid plays. Mahomes threw backwards, caused a fumble, recovered his own fumble. Allen plays hero ball and makes terrible throws for INTs right into the hands of a defender. People also celebrate when Josh Allen has rushing TDs, the media report on "total TDs" for him but when people talk about total TDs for Hurts the haters come out saying it's spin. With Allen it's "he finds a way to win" and with Hurts it's "he's a RB playing QB." Another one is calling him the MVP. That was last year. When people say Hurts was Super Bowl MVP people scoff at that, don't want that brought up. There are always double standards for our own QB vs other team QBs. People say Hurts wins with top talent but forget he made the playoffs his first year as a starter with rookie DeVonta Smith, Jalen Reagor and Quez Watkins, and Miles Sanders at RB. In 2023 the team had one of the worst defenses in the league and most of his passing numbers were actually better than his MVP runner up season in 2022, except INTs were much higher. Hurts has performed with lesser talent and with a terrible defense as well, but we make those excuses for Josh Allen. Allen has had other bad games as well this season not just last night. He's also lost to the Dolphins and Falcons. I actually like Josh Allen. A lot of us think we'd be happy with him as the Eagles QB. In reality he would be criticized for not winning, choking and for these bad performances and fans would say we'll never win with him, because Eagles fans are never happy with their starting QB and always want to run him out of town. Hurts will never be among the top passers in the league. But his passing yards numbers are down from prior years with other OCs, although his pass TDs are up. Siri is obsessed with being conservative, majority of fans and media recognize how much Patullo is the problem, plus O line injuries affecting the run game. Hurts is also part of the problem. So are TE blocking, WR routes, play calls, head coach decisions, it's everyone. By the way, Hurts is currently on pace stats wise to have less pass yards than 2022, but 27 pass TDs which would be a career high, and 1 (maybe 2) INTs and currently his passer rating is a career high at 107.0. And the team is 8-2 and beat a lot of top teams. This is why Siri won't change, because it's working. It's frustrating for all of us to want to see more from the star players on offense. Smitty is on pace for an 1100 yard season, Barkley a 1,125 rush yards season, Brown and 812 yard season (Smitty became WR1 and Brown putting up WR2 numbers), Goedert on pace for 12 receiving TDs. They will likely sit the starters at least 1 week so these numbers will probably be lower though. But that's the current performance pace for a 17 game season. So while we all want more out of the offense, Siri is looking at this thinking it's good enough, the defense is a top defense again and they are winning and have beat a lot of top playoff teams so why change.

Ah yes, yes, the US-funded Mujahadeen repelling the much stronger Soviet military from an invasion on their homeland is absolutely nothing like the current situation in Ukraine. No similarities to be found whatsoever.

Sure buddy. "In communication" is the bar for Democrats. Hundreds of emails, documented close friendship for decades and photos and miles of testimony of inappropriate behavior together means nothing for Trump. Nobody's buying this line except the absolute dumbest of the cultists, like you.

The Eagles have a problem. The players know it, heck, everybody knows it. Burying your head in the sand doesn’t address it. The players have short shelf lives and blowing a strong chance at winning a SB because you don’t address the problem is infuriating and ruinous to careers. Watching that chance get pissed away does not sit well with intensely competitive people. KP is doing a bad job and it affects the team and the franchise. One way or another, the problem must be addressed.

It half does. US forces dealt with an insurgency in the countryside, but not in the cities where the American presence was actually welcomed for a myriad of reasons. Ultimately though the insurgency in the countryside contributed to war weariness in American culture and ultimately led to the withdrawal of US forces. What I'm telling you is basic knowledge that the average high schooler should know. The average high schooler should understand my overall point which shouldn't have been this hard to drive home to you... were Russia to try to occupy Ukraine, the insurgency would be at historic levels. It would be chechnya on steroids. You and the other Trumptards, because of your emotional attachment to authoritarianism and your desire for MAGA to remake America in Russia's image, like to view Russia as this mighty world super power that's huge and scary. Spoiler alert... they aren't. Their equipment is outdated, their troops are raw, their strategy is almost non existent. In a conventional war against Western powers they would be easily crushed. They do not need to be kowtowed to.

While we are 17th in YPG rushing at 115.2 per game (basically league average), we are 25th in YPA at 3.9. Last year we were 2nd in YPG at 179.3, and 5th in YPA at 4.9. So we are down over 30% in YPG and 20% in YPA. That's not just expected regression, that's a catastrophic decline. But we still run it almost 30 times a game (down from 36.5 last year, but we aren't killing the clock as often) - we are 10th in the league in rushing attempts, but 3rd among teams that have only played 10 games. We are doing something (running the ball) way more than most teams, and we are worse at it than most teams. That's just stupid -- coaches need to adapt to the rushing attack we have, not the one from last year. FWIW, we are 10th in the league in YPA on passes at 7.3.

There's no getting around the fact that Patullo was a bad hire and that we're pretty much stuck with him for this season. Just have to live with it.

He may not be cleared but just a formality at this point. Team may have cleared him to practice but he still needs clearance from an independent neurologist to fully be out of the protocol. I'm guessing that's what is happening and he's getting full clearance this afternoon or tomorrow.

Not only that, but the Dems even transferred a convicted human trafficker to a minimum security prison and gave her preferential treatment in exchange for a sham testimony that was completely worthless... No wait, that was the adjudicated rapist and criminal you voted for and faithfully defend like he was your actual father. That's my bad.

And if there were no fans, he'd have no paycheck. I'm not sure I follow the logic here. Brown started this whole thing. The media HAS to ask about it. That's their job. His job is to catch a football, to block when called to do so, etc. and to be available for media questions. His job description does not include stirring up crap within his own team. And he had every opportunity to take the high road with his comments in response to the questions, questions that are about HIS cryptic comments on social media AGAIN. But instead, he made foolish comments. This is a HIM problem, because he made himself the focus and he made his displeasure known publicly. He could have been the good soldier and kept it in house, like a professional. But, he chose to air dirty laundry in public. When he does that, this is the result. He was the catalyst. It's a lazy narrative to blame the media when the player is the one who started it unprovoked on his personal social media. He wasn't even responding to a question from the media to start this whole thing. If that had been the genesis of all this, then by all means, blame the media. And the media has plenty of things to be held accountable for as well, but this isn't one of them. He created this situation, they asked him about his comments, and now he's making it worse with his response to their questions about his comments. This is a HIM problem. He started it. And he fanned the flames yesterday with his responses. And, I have no doubt that he knows exactly what he's doing and that this is all calculated by him. Last year a former first round pick came to this team, got the fewest targets of his career (roughly half of his previous low) and we never heard a word from him or saw it on social media. So, the media left him alone and never asked him a thing. When the odd question did come his way, he was gracious and professional. Brown could learn a thing or two.

It’s shocking to me that they would throw Jurgens out there on Sunday. I want to see what this offense looks like with 5 healthy offensive linemen. Not 5 starters, not 5 studs, just 5 OL that are viably healthy. They have had so many plays fail to develop this year simply because an OL was not healthy enough / too much pain / too reduced mobility to pull into space and move outside their phone booth. The simple possibility of Dickerson/Jurgens/Lane returning to form after rest and health for the playoff run should be enough to sit them. But that clearly wasn’t enough. Now, just do it to help the team win on Sunday so you can actually have 5 guys out there who aren’t wincing and hobbling around after and during every play. At some point, Pryor, Toth, and Fred give you a better chance to win.
  48. Swoop
They do it to show that even top QBs have bad games, but never consider that it's Josh Allen and a bunch of scrubs with a worse defense. The passing game struggles with a top WR duo, Saquon and Goedert. Can you imagine Hurts carrying an offense led by Cook, Shakir, Knox and Gabe Davis?
