He was way better in college than Corral and Willis, who were drafted 2 rounds ahead of him. Coming out of his junior season when he had actual talent at NC, he was predicted as a top 10 pick.   The biggest mistake teams have made against him is underestimating his arm strength, which doesn't matter in this game if he keeps getting all day to throw.
