October 13, 20232 yr Slap any girl in her tush and go up to any guy and go tickle, tickle, tickle as you do it to his belly......they'll all love ya!! And I'm going to that game with my gf so don't do either to us please....
October 13, 20232 yr Some real advice. Dress for the weather. It always ends up being colder than you expected, especially for a night game. It would be an absolute rookie mistake to not bring a heavy enough jacket. Decades of experience speaking.

October 24, 20231 yr Author At Citizens Bank it is a breeze. Very quick to park and leave the game after. This is an absolute nightmare. Nobody is properly directing traffic at all. It takes FOREVER to be able to park. Finally we settled on the casino's parking garage because all these lots seemed to be "reserved"... for what? We left the game I thought before most other people, and it took OVER AN HOUR for the car to get out of the garage. There's no common courtesy at all, people just trying to constantly get in front of each other, not letting everyone go fairly and equitably by. So much for the city of brotherly love. Also, it was super, super disorganized and confusing figuring out how to get in with my field suite tickets. I lost a lot of time from all of this. The game itself was great, but the whole experience of getting there and leaving.. not fun.

October 24, 20231 yr Realize CBP holds maybe 40,000 max, while the Linc capacity is close to 70,000 and usually sold out. Bigger stadium, more people... And there is at least twice as much traffic to deal with. Add in all of the space needed for tailgates and parking lot parties. There are people there that never leave the parking lot. Parking spots close to the stadium are reserved well in advance. Going to an Eagles game is a whole different ballgame than a Phillies game. Plan ahead. I try to get there early to beat the traffic and tailgate.

Locals will even help look after your car for you.

October 24, 20231 yr Believe it or not, parking in South Philly for any game (Phillies, Eagles, Flyers, et al.), is pretty much as good as it gets when it comes to major league sports.
October 24, 20231 yr I park .75 of a mile away at a hotel and get out faster then I would sitting in that lot.

Only part I hate is getting off 95 north on broad Street and having to get over 4 lanes in a 100 feet going to Wells Fargo parking for flyers games.

It was a nightmare Trying to get there two hours before kickoff was a strategy that worked in the early seventies. But when tailgating became a thing a decade or so later, you'd have to get there a lot earlier than that to have smooth sailing. For a 1:00 game at the Vet in its final years, I'd have to get there around 10AM and then kill about two hours walking around before heading into the stadium. The nightmare of parking is the sole reason I now take public transportation.

Got in an accident there a few years ago doing the lane changes. You could go up one more exit and come in from the other side. It adds a few minutes but less chance of an accident. or take the platt bridge
October 24, 20231 yr When I had season tickets, I was the type that arrived around 7-8AM for a 1PM kickoff and even 4pm also. When we played Minnesota on MNF week 2 of the ‘04 season, MNF still kicked off at 9pm back then and I was still there at 11AM. I haven’t had season tickets since 2011 and given that this is a recent Super Bowl winning team, and Super Bowl participant, you had no chance only showing 2 hours early. One thing I definitely don’t miss is the traffic leaving. I got to experience it all, including an NFCCG win over the Falcons. I’m good with watching on TV now.

The game itself was great, but the whole experience of getting there and leaving.. not fun. If you go to an Eagles game and want to get in and out quickly, the only option is SEPTA. The Orange Line is a nice option. You can park in Center City and grab the Orange line down and you've got no issues. If you are going to park at the stadium, or even near the stadium, expect traffic and expect to be sitting there for a long time. The issue you have is with the expectations you had on how easily you could get in and out. NFL football is an all-day affair. Treat it as such, and have that expectation... and you won't be disappointed. The experience does not begin or end when the game begins or ends. If that's not what you are looking for, then you might want to just enjoy it from home.

I got to a Phillies game considerably closer to the first pitch last month. It was a two minute process to park and to leave after the game. No stress. This was absolutely absurd by comparison.

My brother and I just had literally the worst week of our life... family tragedy. We decided to still go because I had suite tickets and we needed a break and to try to get our minds off it for a bit. It was just very unclear with so many different things. Now I know.. but if it's your first time going to a game, it's really stressful and confusing.
October 24, 20231 yr Showing up to an Eagles game like your arriving at the airport for a flight. Two hours? For real? You gave yourself Two hours? 70 thousand people trying to get in and out and you gave yourself two hours. Get there in the morning, partake in beer, tailgating, and a**hole chants and have fun.
