To me that is THE biggest concern.....corners....we need them badly.....I can get over the red zone offense because I know they can readily fix that but I am sick of seeing these corners being burnt like toast...its like byron maxwell and nanmdi are still here......

They did have moments. I just don’t think they have the speed they used to have. Slay has been picked on all season at times, and these young guys just look lost out there.

Its the way it happened. He could have run straight for a first down but he decides to run directly INTO a tackle....it couldn't have been more obvious he hates contact.....

Ummm if he hated contact wouldn't he have avoided the tackle instead of running directly into it ???

How many beers have you and others parroting this had???

That's my thing....Slay no longer looks like he did when he first arrived...he is no longer big play slay but no play slay.....I know as years pass players skillsets decline but geezus, his has notably been a horrible downslide.....

Forget anything I said.....I don't drink and you didn't see the play so no worries....enjoy the rest of your evening

Btw, I don't parrot anything, I have my own thoughts and opinions....

Hurst would rather throw to a triple covered Brown than a wide open TT. 😂🤣🤣

I understand that critics are always waiting for the first chance to pounce. But this team is 5-0 despite a lot of players making little mistakes. What's even better is that the team understands it can still play better. If you make a bad decision where to run and miss a 1st down, you can't change what happened. You just have to learn from it and play your best moving forward. If that was the "big gripe" from this week's win, then the Eagles must be playing near perfect football.

He's a 32 year old CB. That's what happens. I think relying on two 30+ corners was an oversight by Howie. Need to upgrade for next year for sure.

He should have just went up field. He tried to take that to the outside and avoid the bigger bodies in the middle and upfield. Even the first screen he caught felt like he went down really easy. Can’t recall a play he fought for yards.

Where did this narrative come from that Quez has butter fingers and can't catch.

Eagles fans are so hyperbolic.

OZ had one drop and one catch last week and you'd think according to eagles fans he's Jerry Rice

Quez comes up short on a screen and all the sudden he's Na Brown???

Eagles fans need to slow their roll with Quez, it's tiresome.

If you're still mad about the Quez super bowl drop you should be more mad that the DB in coverage on that play had his arm wrapped around Quez and tugged him way before the ball got there, those same refs that called the same on bradberry swallowed their whistles on a play more egregious and obvious against Quez.

It’s stems from last season, especially when he short armed/half-assed catching the ball in the SB. I’m actually surprised we kept him. Thought he’d be traded off or released outright.  He’s got potential, but he’s not reliable, because he lacks heart. He’s fortunate to have gotten this far, but he’s unable to take advantage of the huge opportunity he was given.

He’s trying to play man against guys who are much faster than him.

Meh they're different players...Ertz was a better pure receiving tight end where Goedert is more well-rounded.  Ertz caught that huge 4th down in the Super Bowl and, of course, the game winning score.

Oh don't get me wrong, I totally agree with you. The point you just made is what I most agree with: Goedert is more rounded, he gets more yards after contact and is a better blocking TE...but I get your point

This was probably the best team they've faced so far. Overall they played really well, despite the mistakes.

2nd half they dominated. Made adjustments.

5-0

This isn’t about the Eagles as a whole. This is about TT and the feeling like he’s kind of a liability out there. Yes this is an undefeated football team, but obviously even you see areas of improvement otherwise you don’t make the "wide open” comment.

Ok. Let’s all watched Dallas get crushed

How about a shovel pass play in the Redzone?

How about a  Rashaad Penny sighting??

Or it's probably more likely Hurts missed him...

Quez overall body of work?

In 2021 he had over 600 yards as a part time player, he should have had over 200 yards in the playoffs loss to the bucs but hurts crapped the bed and missed him multiple times.

Next year he looked to be in line for a breakout year but then Howie traded for AJ, not only did he lose snaps and targets but the coaches explicitly told him he'd see limited targets and basically be an after thought, nit surprisingly he had a crap year.

Fast forward to this year and coaches go out of their way to say he's had a great camp And looked really good he gets hurt after week one where he caught a couple short passes then catches 2 more short passes today and all the sudden that means he's the worst thing since liver and onions and needs to be run out of town???

I love the eagles but the fans that take pride in being miserable all the time make following the eagles harder than it should be .

Great win today Birds

Hopefully going forward Quez can make some big plays, eagles are better when he's making big plays.

Tldr everything but yes Hurts missed him after he started scrambling. Fact is that Quez is who he is. Unreliable. At this point enough is enough and it's easy to forget Quez is still on the team. Hurts obviously lost confidence in him

2017 Jake Elliott kicks a 61 yard FG, later in the season the Eagles beat the Rams and the Vikings... and go on to win the Super Bowl.

Sounds like a prediction for 2023. I like the way the season is going so far...

The heated sideline exchanges weve had this year also remind me of those shots of Steve Young pissed off on the sidelines in their 1994 run. You want to see that passion and desire.

Yeah and Stafford missed at least two TD throws. He used to make those.

I would trade Quez's speed if Z proves to be a more reliable player overall. Both Brown and Smith can go downfield, straight line speed in the slot is not a necessity in this offense IMO.

Ok if he's a player that doesn't fight for yards then why keep tossing him screens.

Isaac Bruce never fought for a yard in his career and he's in the HOF

Fred Barnett fought for every yard every play and tore his ACL twice.🤷‍♂️

Sure one would rather Quez be deebo Samuel but he's not so maybe fans should stop expecting him to be and coaches should stop giving him plays that don't suit his skill set.

Like I said I hope he puts up some big plays this year, eagles are better when he does then he can sign somewhere else after this season and a different player can become fans whipping boy after a win...😒

I won $10 from a 49ers friend on that game.

Hurts lost confidence in him because he didn't pick up a first in a screen???

You're entitled to your opinion I just think it's a reach.

No way hurts isn't going to throw to a wide open Quez because as you say he doesn't trust him without having any evidence to suggest that's the case other than he didn't throw him the ball

Like I said more likely he just missed him, qbs aren't in the habit of ignoring wide open receivers in the end zone.

Do have any evidence to substitute that claim, nope but I think it's more likely that hurts just missed him than ignored him.

Quez was more than likely the 5th read onh the play as he most often is so....

Hurts is the fans whipping boy and not this turd nugget. Let’s stop trying to compare Twinkle Toes to anyone but himself. Now he’s the one who claimed to be elite. I’d like to see him prove it out there on the field, but  running away from contact on a key third down isn’t the way to do it. Everyone claimed he was so good in camp. Where’s that guy been at? At this point I can think of about two really good plays from Quez. I can easily think of at least four… no five bad ones just off the top of my head. Let’s see Quez do something out there that shows he’s capable.

He did t short arm it or half ass it,there have been multiple screen shots and replays shoeing the DB with his arm wrapped around Quez waist and turning him far before the ball got there which caused the ball to be just out if reach.

When I first saw the play live I thought the same, I so determined why the heck quez slowed up and short armed it, it's because he was being held and the refs ignored it

They called it later against bradberry which was more ticky tack and didn't really have the same impact as the ball was way over the receivers head but against Watkins the replays show the DB obviously interfered or held way before the ball was there and no call

Most eagles fans though would rather pile in the guy and stick to narrative then look at it objectively.

Fair criticism. It’s cool. Just not a fan and I think we can do better there.

So if the San Fran Wins, Eagles 2 game lead in the NFC EAST. If the San Fran Loses.  Eagles take sole position for the #1 Seed and are the last undefeated team.   Sounds like a Win/Win tonight.  If they Tie, even better.
