BS.

2 defenders, 2 blockers, no one preventing him from the first but himself. 1 defender trailing, and one coming into range after he decides to go lateral over vertical. You posted the video and still get it wrong?

Thank you for posting these....I am not sure how ANYBODY can dispute what we all saw him do today.....

Those are nice crops. They conveniently don't show 0 coming from the right or the other defenders reading the play. 6 defenders converging on the play --- ALL from the area he was supposed to run.

Nice try. My eyes work just fine, no crop needed. Smitty also reacted how most of us fans reacted… he missed his hole on a crucial down and short distance. Where are the 6 defenders?

2 being blocked. And DE running  from behind (from hash, ball is at the numbers), and a late DB coming downhill well after Quez is contacted running flat. Why are you defending a player making the wrong play? Don’t get it. Watch DeVonta throw his hands up.

two blockers you can see their nameplate and you run towards the defender’s leverage. BAD. VISION.

Your pause is AFTER he’s wrapped up lmao. He needs to catch this ball and get north and south and he gets 2 yards. It’s very simple.

It’s not square pegging him. Any average, competent slot WR can be a fair replacement, but since he hasn’t used his gift(s) enough to show he can consistently extend the field for our top guys or show he’s formidable in his own right when it counts …..he’s simply an over rated decoy

He's not an average slot receiver, he's a below average slot receiver

He had his best year in 2021 playing mostly at z WR

As for him extending the field that's what he does, but when defenses play to keep everything underneath not much he can do.

How many deep shots did Smitty have today, most of Browns yards came off short to intermediate routes where he picked up a lot of YAC, the one down field crap Quez got was about a 15 yard dig where Jalen threw it over his head, which coincidentally Smith was wide open on a shorter route but hurts ignored him, maybe hurts doesn't trust Smitty...😒

Quez has shown that he has to be accounted for deep or he can make defenses pay.

As for a decoy, how is he overrated as a decoy??? if his job is to run a deep route and be the 5th option and AJ catches a pass underneath and runs for 30 yards how is that Quez being overrated???

I think yours and others expectations for Quez is skewing your opinion of him.

Like I said and I'll say again, I hope he can make some plays going forward, when he makes big plays the eagles are better and he's shown in the past he can make big olays

I'm not sure why any eagle fan would be against that.

But hey you do you, grab your pitchfork assemble your mob And run him out of town because he didnt hit the right seem on a bubble screen where he probably comes up short if he does anyway

Have fun storming the castle ...👍

Don’t like him Ute. Just simply don’t like him as a 3rd when we just need a possession receiver in the slot. Our big two can make their own way with a savvy outlet receiver

He's not a 3rd he's a 5th and I don't like him in the slot either, he's miscast there, it's not a position that fits his skill set.

He's not a shifty quick route runner nor is he a bigger possession guy, he's a straightline speed guy who can get deep and keep a D honest, problem is all Defenses play the eagles honest now so the offense adjust.

Eagles won a super bowl with a Quez Watkins type in Torrey Smith, defenses had to account for his deep speed other than that he was useless, luckily Dougie P didnt line him up in the slot they kept him at Z where he was suited and Agholor held down the slot.

Watkins isn't a slot, he's a Torrey Smith and for now he's here and bring miscast and while he is I hope he can make some plays, if not no big deal its not like he's a focal point of the offense.

You’re a Quez fan, an unapologetic true believer, or his agent - possibly all three.
The dude deserves scrutiny from yesterday to today. Sorry, not sorry. Zacheaus isn’t an appropriate 3rd option either, but he’s proven not to be a liability up to this point. No?

My capture just shows all the defenders converging. I understand the play was designed for him to go between Smith and Brown and that's where he should have run. I simply don't think he gets the first down either way. Like most of the Eagles' WR screen passes the last few seasons, defenses have no trouble reading and defending the play. The best part about the video is it shows the actual speed of the players and the play. The cropped still pics make it look worse than the video actually shows. As soon as Quez would have planted his foot and gone north, 0 makes the tackle and everybody else is there to prevent driving the pile forward. Quez hoped to bounce outside, but that hardly ever works out in the NFL.

Quez is awful... Literally does nothing... How is there any argument in favor of him?

The guy at the hash is immediately tackling the guy at the numbers? What is he a super hero? You’re just wrong here. I posted a gif that actually has quality to it. No way that guy is making the table before he gets through his hole. What’s going on here?

C’mon dude.  I can question the play call, but only because the target wasn’t up to the task. He’s not up to the task.

They must really appreciate his one decent play every 5 and a half games

#EaglesNews: "Fast Batman has a hole outside the numbers for 2 yards but can’t take it because a linebacker would chase him down from the hashmarks.”

I’m almost inclined to have Gainwell and Swift with AJ, Smitty, and Goedert before putting Watkins in.

I'm loyal to the Eagles. I just don't get into all the media driven clickbait-hate. I don't need to hang my hat on 1 tiny mistake a player made in a win.

FWIW, in this game passer rating when targeted:

Quez: 70.1

Smith: 39.6

Brown: 77.1

Goedert: 155.8

And just like that....Dak is going to Dak....

Was Bradley Robie a factor in the second half?  It appears he was playing the slot and had at least one good play.

Felt like the defense played much better once he was inserted into the defense.

No hate, just a disagreement. It’s not based on one mistake either. He provides nothing at this point. Just need competence to allow our exceptional one and two to shine (or give a breather to). He extends the field, but can’t catch it. He catches a wide open deep slant, but fails to secure the ball due to poor spatial awareness. He collects a screen pass and fails to take advantage of solid blocking/execution ……….etc, etc.,  etc……

You forgot how he likes to have the ball wrestled from his baby arms

You're still going bat for Mr. Elite I see. lol.

Dallas has no problem with us unfortunately, but they do struggle with consistency, especially against inferior opponents. They’ll show up tonight and make a game of it, but if they play the Panthers next week, they’ll choke.

Umm we beat them at home and would have beat them there if Hurts played but ok they have no problem with us

That was the spatial awareness issue I mentioned, but ineffective "baby arms” is an acceptable all around answer as well.
