They don't mind players we already have that are older. 3 hours ago, NOTW said: Oldest Eagles right now: Kelce, Graham 35 Julio Jones 34 Lane Johnson 33 Cox, Slay 32 Roby, Lovato 31 Bradberry, Byard 30 Reddick, Mariota 29 They add a 30 year old and some say he's too old. This offseason they gave new contracts to Kelce, Slay, Bradberry & Cox. Signed Roby recently. This is a team trying to win a Super Bowl this year. They have young safeties in Blankenship & Brown. They can still draft younger safeties in the future as well.

October 24, 20231 yr I haven’t watched a lot of Titans games this year but sounds like he isn’t the playmaking all pro safety he was a couple of years ago but even with a drop-off addresses a major hole for us. Needed some stability on the back-end, and I certainly feel a whole lot better about him starting back there than Edmunds. For the price of two low rounds picks, I’ll very happily take it. Especially with all extra comp picks we are projected to have next year.

October 24, 20231 yr Even after this trade they still have 8 picks in 2024 all of which are projected to be in rounds 1-5.

From what I'm gathering he was spending a lot of time teaching and compensating on the field, and wasn't able to just play his position the last year or two. Could be hopium, but let's hope Desai is able to "put him in a position to make plays"

He plays for the Titans defense why would he be a household name. He's a stud. Way better than Edmunds. Ball skills (pause) and a tackling machine. Can play in the slot as well. Malcolm Jenkins like but may be even better. Jenkins actually gave him his flowers early calling him one of the best.
October 24, 20231 yr Wait until Howie circles back and takes Derrick Henry off their hands for a song!! LOL!!!!!!!

And it's not really close. The only downside at all is that he just turned 30 in August. So he's not a young guy. But he should still be effective. Dawk played here until he was 35. Jenkins was 32 his last season with the Birds. If he's a fit, and we can restructure, we may get a couple nice years. Worst case we have upgraded the position for this year, in about the best way available. I don't expect him to go out there and catch 5 INTs in weeks 8-18. But he should stabilize the backfield a bit, especially when Reed is back.
