Quite the upgrade. But, another 1 year rental player??!!

Malcolm Jenkins’ best seasons with us were in his 30’s. I think he’ll play out the season and we extend him in March

Can’t believe they also took Edmunds off their hands 😂

Byard and Blankenship played at the same college

That would be best case scenario.  That would mean the team believes he can still contribute.

All the people saying he is too old are bumming me out

Right. They don't mind players we already have that are older.

Oldest Eagles right now:

  • Kelce, Graham 35
  • Julio Jones 34
  • Lane Johnson 33
  • Cox, Slay 32
  • Roby, Lovato 31
  • Bradberry, Byard 30
  • Reddick, Mariota 29

They add a 30 year old and some say he's too old. This offseason they gave new contracts to Kelce, Slay, Bradberry & Cox. Signed Roby recently.

This is a team trying to win a Super Bowl this year. They have young safeties in Blankenship & Brown. They can still draft younger safeties in the future as well.

Looks who’s back at the top of the NFC.

We never left  B-)

I haven’t watched a lot of Titans games this year but sounds like he isn’t the playmaking all pro safety he was a couple of years ago but even with a drop-off addresses a major hole for us.

Needed some stability on the back-end, and I certainly feel a whole lot better about him starting back there than Edmunds. For the price of two low rounds picks, I’ll very happily take it. Especially with all extra comp picks we are projected to have next year.

Shug Roseman back at it.

Here's what celebrity Eagles fan Micah Parsons had to say:

Seems like he’s pretty damn good then! I’ll take  that! Definitely an upgrade on what we had no doubt we just need him to still be a real play maker.

Even after this trade they still have 8 picks in 2024 all of which are projected to be in rounds 1-5.

Not bad going that! Definitely some real opportunities to continue to add to this team.

Now go get Burns from Carolina and get rid of Barnett!

Is he much better than Edmunds?

My exact question as well. To be honest he hasn’t been a household name coming off my tv set or nfl talk radio shows.

Titans have a really young backfield, outside of Byard. From what I'm gathering he was spending a lot of time teaching and compensating on the field, and wasn't able to just play his position the last year or two.

Could be hopium, but let's hope Desai is able to "put him in a position to make plays"

He plays for the Titans defense why would he be a household name. He's a stud. Way better than Edmunds. Ball skills (pause) and a tackling machine. Can play in the slot as well. Malcolm Jenkins like but may be even better. Jenkins actually gave him his flowers early calling him one of the best.

Wait until Howie circles back and takes Derrick Henry off their hands for a song!! LOL!!!!!!!

Yes. And it's not really close.

The only downside at all is that he just turned 30 in August. So he's not a young guy. But he should still be effective.

Dawk played here until he was 35. Jenkins was 32 his last season with the Birds.

If he's a fit, and we can restructure, we may get a couple nice years. Worst case we have upgraded the position for this year, in about the best way available.

I don't expect him to go out there and catch 5 INTs in weeks 8-18. But he should stabilize the backfield a bit, especially when Reed is back.

He's known for being a cover safety, FWIW. It's a nice upgrade.
