Ugh, the NFL should fine that guy for the dirty play.

Get well soon Dallas.

Someone call Gronk 😬

Our backups suck, more Julio Jones

4-6 week recovery.

Likely back for the Seahawks.

Damn! That’s a big big blow with some huge games coming up.

Bummer. Seems like he gets injured and misses games/goes on IR every season

He was just starting to get going too

This is a freak injury.  I wouldn’t label him injury prone because of this.   We don’t know enough about the injury yet, but I’d guess he’ll be back in 4 to 6 weeks.

Just in time to finish the season and get ready for the offs then.

Looking at what's available off the street, the best I can see is someone like Cameron Brate or OJ Howard, neither are at Goedert's level but they have decent starting experience and Brate is a credible red zone threat.

Gronkowski coming off a full season and a half of retirement at 34?  He's already got 4 rings, he's nailed on first ballot HoF, what leverage do you use to get him out of his armchair and into training again?

I think I’d be ok with Howard. Bring him in, see how he gets on and then you can decide what to do with him when Goedert is back. He may prove to be a better #2 than Stoll.

Ebron being out of football all last season gives me pause, talking to some Steelers fans I know he looked washed his last year there and Freiermuth as a rookie made him look pedestrian. I doubt a year sat on his ass has improved him.

Lets be honest, we're talking about emergency TE cover, it's a coin toss between him, Brate and Howard. I'm just 99% sure Calcaterra Albert O and Stoll aren't getting it done.

Knowing Howie with his blind spot positions we'll re sign Dan Arnold and get nothing out of the TE's until Goedert can go again.

Damnit!!

Win the game, lose your best TE. Ugh!

4-6 weeks as long as nothing else happened. Bye takes care of 2 of those weeks, so 2-4 games.

The Eagles won't be adding another TE. They didn't last year and won't this year. Stoll will see a snap increase and mainly be expected to block. Jones or whoever the WR3 is (maybe Quez returns) will likely see an increase in targets. The Eagles have enough options to mitigate this for several weeks. Anything we get from Calcaterra and Okwuegbunam will be a pleasant surprise.

I'm not sure where the fracture actually is, but sometimes it's possible for the player to play wearing that elbow brace. I think we need more information at this point before getting an actual timeline.

Yeah... I'm sure my arm would break too if someone put me in an arm bar and dropped all of their weight on it.

Dallas stays injured. It's a yearly recurrence. I don't trust the coaches to adequately replace him. Calcaterra is too frail, esp. with his concussion issues. I think Cam coming back and leaning more on the running game should be more of a focus.

Yeah, I don't see us picking anyone up either. There's no way they would carry 4 TEs on the roster if they aren't comfortable playing the backups when the starter goes down.

Sucks about Goedert.  Hopefully he will be back by Xmas, but should definitely be back by the playoffs.

It'll be interesting to see if they make a concerted effort to get Albert Okwuegbunam involved.  In 3 years in Denver, he had 54 catches for 546 yards and 4 TDs.  He's a good athlete...runs a 4.49 40 at 6' 5" 258 lbs.  Still just 25 years old.  Not sure why he didn't pan out in Denver (crappy coaching?), and apparently he wasn't going to be a "Payton guy" this year.

When Goedert went down before, there was no concerted effort to involve any other TE.  But Albert O is definitely more intriguing as a pass catcher that Jack Stoll or Grant C.  The only issue could be that if he's not a good blocker, they may not involve him much.

Between him, Julio and getting back to the  run game...that's how we will mitigate the loss of Goedert.

Will Calcaretta be healthy after the bye?

I don’t think it matters if he keeps getting struck by lightning walking down a city street on a sunny day…when you miss 5, 1, 5, and 4++ games per year over the last 4 years, the dictionary definition of injury prone applies.

Unfortunate for Dallas to get hurt.  In his absence, Jones could get more touches.  He did not have much yesterday, but his production could only improve with more time with the system.  The other TEs could also get more touches, Calcaterra and Okwu.. are the main receiving options.  Not much confidence in Quez.
