I still remember in 2009 we went to the Jamarcus Raiders and he went sub 50% completion against the worst team in football at the time, with a wide receiver corps that had Kevin Curtis and Reggie Brown as WR#4/5, it was like he hated the turf and just wanted to fire the ball into it. He spent years 'carrying bums' and then when he got Jackson and Maclin as a 1 2 punch with Avant in the slot he went to crap. Eh, He went 9-6-1 and 10-4 in his final 2 seasons here, plus he actually went to the pro bowl during his final year. His completion % was also at 60% or higher for 3 straight seasons (07-09), which was a high for him, as he was usually around 57-59% as an Eagle. I don't think bad play is what got him shipped out, it was the fact that Reid was infatuated with Michael Vick. I never liked choosing Vick over McNabb, so I was actually happy when Reid was fired years later after the dream team debacle. McNabb and Dawkins (especially Dawk) should've never been traded.

Dawkins wasn’t traded. That idiot Joe Banner lowballed him so he left for Denver. I think that’s why eventually he and Lurie fell out. I will never forget how the Eagles were actually offering a cruise on their website where Dawkins was supposed to be the special guest, and then he went to Denver…. By the time McNabb left I believed that the quarterback and the coach combination would not get the Eagles over the hump so one of them had to go. People might forget this, but it was Kolb and not Vick who was supposed to be the heir apparent, but that guy literally got injured in the shower (just showing how injury prone he has, but that injury did happen in Buffalo) so they pivoted to Vick. After McNabb left the bullseye fell solely on Reid and he didn’t deliver. Neither did the following dope Chip Kelly who is about to get fired soon.

Like I say McNabb was better in the early 2000's, his time was very much up when he was traded.

Must be time to trade him too I guess. Yeah, the Cowboys had our number that season, as we really didn't matchup well with them and it showed in those back to back losses. Also, my memory isn't the best, but I swear we had a lot of injuries that year and while we had a good record, we weren't really that good due to so many injuries to key guys. Any Eagles fan that thought the rematch would go differently was delusional. Sure, McNabb didn't have good games, but the entire team stunk in those games. We couldn't run or pass the ball and couldn't stop anything Dallas did offensively, but sure, chalk it all up to his wormburners, lol. Lastly, I remember our defense absolutely stinking in the first half of that 2008 championship game. Mind you, this was the same AZ team the eagles beat 48-20 earlier in the year, yet they somehow allowed Fitz to score 3 TDs in the first half alone. Was Donovan a part of the secondary that allowed Fitz to pop off like that?? We were down 19 at the half if I'm not mistaken, and the fact that the offense managed to take the lead in the 2nd half was remarkable. When the defense had the ultimate chance to redeem themselves, they couldn't get AZ off the field in the 4th quarter. They allowed them to go on an almost 8 minute TD drive that all but sealed it.

My rage over McNabb being dealt made me lump Dawk in mistakenly just to finish my rant. They both should've been Eagles until they retired imo.

November 19, 20232 yr The bad news about this injury is that now Defenses can key more on the Iggles two stud WRs. I expect this new OC for the Iggles to NOT make any adjustments.

Started off rocky but he’s been steadily improving and the results speak for themselves.
