I was thinking about all of the superstar, MVP/Hall of Fame caliber athletes playing in the city right now....  Embiid, Harper, Hurts, Maxey, Wheeler, Kelce, Johnson, Brown, etc.. 

Has there ever been an era of Philly sports with this much raw talent? 

Maybe the early 80s with Schmidt, Carlton, Dr J, Moses Malone, Pete Rose, Bobby Clarke, Bill Barber? 

1980's - no doubt.  The Eagles played above their talent level due to the shear will of Vermeil.  But the Phillies team was like an All-Star team when the won the Series and the pennant 3 years later.  And the Flyers still had a good core left from the Stanley Cup years.
