The year he got hurt he was the starting RB.

Ive never looked at him as a backup most backups dont make all pro teams.

But hey to each their own👍

I’m intrigued; what is your sourcing on this?  Link?  😂

If it were MLB I might argue with you; Davey Lopes used to get voted to the All-Star Game by the fans even if he was batting under .200

All pro is voted by associated press as far as i know, and as far as i know i cant recall a time they voted a back up in as an All pro. Leonard weaver was all pro in 2009.

I heard Reno was a very good waiter back in the day.

Rodney Peete has to be in the mix for top 3.  Foles is the obvious choice.  Another player I’ll throw out there is Trey Burton.

I was just watching highlights from the 4th and 1 game. My goodness Pete was horrible in that one. His best game as an Eagles was that Detroit playoff game.

I chose 1 offensive, 1 defensive and 1 special teams players.

Hard to beat the 3 who touched the ball on Phyllis Special!  All back-up players!

He was but im considering him as rb here. He played like one, and got paid like it too.

He wasn't a RB though. FBs play like one because they have a similar role, but ultimately blocking is their primary role. He was a great starter.

Top 3 Backup Philadelphia Eagles Players

So for the next top 3 discussion, I was wondering if I could get everyone's opinions about their Top 3 Favorite backup players for the Eagles. These are players that took over a few times for the starter and ended up having a lot of success. Some of these players might have become starters for the team for a short time. So what are your favorite backup players for the Philadelphia Eagles since you've been a fan?

Watching that video I forgot about Brian Braman. There used to be stories about that dude in training camp and in practice about him being completely unblock able (According to Ike Reese)  but they rarely used him in games, but he was on heck of a special teams player.

No clue. It automatically does that for YouTube links for me from my phone or desktop so idk.

I guess I’m not special enough

One guy I don't think was mentioned yet who deserves a nod is Mike Golic.  He was typically the #3 DT in the rotation, with Jerome Brown and Mike Pitts starting.
