Injury status is TBD.

What is determined is his goose is cooked!  He was getting beat left and right yesterday long before the injury forced him out of the game.

Giving him that extra money is just another nail in the Howie shaped coffin.

You know I'd love to believe Howie's time is coming to an end soon but quite honestly, Lurie seems to be as enamored with him as Schwartz is with Gerry.  I think Lurie is still tickled pink to finally have won a championship and that is likely going to buy both Howie and Doug more time than most of us want.  Be prepared for a stretch of a few painful seasons.  I may have to start binge watching Golden Girls marathons on Sundays or listening to Yoko Ono CDs ... either would be less painful.

That would explain why he's getting beaten sure. Doesn't explain why the dude looks flat out disinterested though.

I said last year that his fire was gone. He looks even more apathetic toward the game now than he did then.

HOF player but he is done. And frankly I’m starting to sour on him in general because of this BS with demanding a raise to move from guard to tackle. Makes it look even more asinine when you consider that he cried for a raise just so he could SUCK at LT.

Nooooo... Don't do it. Put on red zone and just enjoy the wondrous NFL.

Jason Peters was too tired to finish the game last week. That was his "injury.” Wow.

Seriously??  That was reported???  They had to help him walk off the field, so that doesn't seem right.  But he obviously has nothing left in the tank and never should have been brought back, even to play RG.  Should have rolled with the younger players we have here that have been training at the position (Pryor, Herbig).

Heard on the radio this morning that Doug said he was fatigued. Just a ridiculously bad look for him. He should just retire on principle after that. It’s a shame Howie’s done such a poor job getting this team talent. Stuck with so many older/injury prone players on bad contracts. They really need to fire Howie or restrict his responsibilities, because he clearly can’t handle all of them.

They would have been much better off not bring back JP to play RG, leaving Pryor and Herbig there, and then signing Glenn after Dillard went down.

Yup. Always the devil you know...

They need a fire sale and purge the roster, collect draft picks and they need to rebuild the O line.  Can't trust Dillard, he can compete in camp but they need to see what they have in Driscoll and other young linemen, get guys up from the practice squad to work on and then draft and sign some new O lineman.  Gotta also plan to replace Kelce and Lane Johnson in the next couple seasons.

Since the McLane leak dropped, I've been saying that Peters' pay increase demand was a result of Peters just not wanting to play LT. Peters is a proud player, and he probably doesn't want to be seen getting abused by guys like Carl Lawson and Montez Sweat. But the report leaked and the team called Peters' bluff.

He shouldn't be out there right now. He's either out of shape, injured (before the Bengals game), or washed.

I’m actually not buying that he was too tried.  I believe he faked an injury to purposely get the 10 second runoff knowing that they were going to attempt a fg and simply did not want to give the bengals too much time if they missed.  They couldn’t run another play to take time off so he acted injured and took the 10 second run off.

Sign Glenn just in case!!!!

Do they have enough money left? Whatever they’re offering people must be pretty low right now.

I was right about this guy being too old, too greedy, too selfish, for too long. I don't give a sh** who gets groomed at LT- at least they don't need oxygen every 5 minutes and has poopy pants every 10 minutes. This guy is STEALING $$ from the org, and THAT is his only thought-$$$$$. He doesn't give a SH** about the Eagles. Period. F this selfish, old, fat a** thief. I will give a standing O when he is no longer an Eagle. I used to love him, now I see what he really is- I hate this geriatric a**.

I liked the peters to guard signing as I thought he could play well there as the loss of agility and lateral mobility wouldn't be as detrimental at guard.

That the plan if dillard went down was to move peters over is assinine. He can't play tackle anymore that he asked for a raise to play tackle is assinine that howie would agree is more assinine.

I'd rather Mailata driscoll even opeta who played LT in college got some snaps at LT.

Whats the cap hit if eagles just flat out cut peters?

Yet another example of disastrous roster mismanagement by Howie, and they are piling up on a weekly basis.

Yeah I did too. I thought moving to guard could have prolonged his better as he would have been more protected inside.

They need to think about trying something else though because Peters looks done.

They didn't want Peters, but I thought he could survive a year at guard.  The disaster was moving him back out to LT...and then possibly paying him more to do so.  That was all compounded with Covid and the limited offseason work.

This is definitely one clear move that reflects poorly on Howie.

Most moves reflect poorly on Howie.

How about that Alshon contract? How about our corner mess? And the same at DE? Our OL is ageing yet its been somewhat overlooked by Howie.

He isn't good at managing a roster. He built a SB roster, that was a one off. Other than that he's built average to poor rosters.

I get it.  You don't see any value to Howie.  The problem is that you don't know the involvement that Lurie had (or didn't have) in those decisions. There is no clear understanding of the power structure.

Oh no I understand that entirely... But this is a fan forum so we discuss our own concerns and thoughts.

If you want to take that route out of the discussion, it's fine.

I find it more likely that after the Super Bowl, Lurie participated in "Let's go get another one next year and deal with the ramifications later" discussion.  People don't get where he is without having vision.  Have you ever considered that the FO expected this struggle (less the injuries)?

Good point about Lurie's level of potential involvement in doing what it took to retain certain members of the current roster and possibly signing off on re-working the contracts in order to make it all work.  I think the biggest issue with Howie though (for most people, judging by what I read here) involves his dreadful drafting, leaving the team void of young talent.  I mean we have some young pieces (Goedert, Sanders, maybe Reagor ... TBD on him) but relative to most other teams, we have very little to show from the past 5 drafts (2020 not included since they all are TBD until they have an opportunity to prove themselves).
