"Most Americans get health insurance through their employer because the government needed workers to support the war effort during WW II. During WW II, the US government implemented a wage freeze to prevent competition for workers to support the war effort.

Employers took advantage of a loophole and began offering health insurance to recruit workers, leading to our current employer-based health insurance system."

Seems to be a familiar problem in the US. Almost as if no one is interested in supporting the follies of their government.

I'm shocked I say.

"The general also called for a near-doubling in size of the British army. The UK military in general plans to reverse a long-term recruitment crisis that has shrunk its numbers even as British forces participate in various missions overseas.”

Unlike your parents having sex, I'm not forcing you to participate.

I’ve been saying on here for nine years now that the best argument against government is electing someone like Donald Trump president.

Carlin wrote that right before 9/11/01, and decided to not release it. It was released in 2016, after his death.

Read in George Carlins voice:

You’re not "relating” more with Carlin… it’s just taken you THAT f-ing Looooooonnng… to figure the joke out.

Just another 10-15% of another company looking for jobs. Good thing the economy's on fire right.

Do young people still wear blue jeans?  In the 90s all the girls I hung out with wore jeans.  Now the college aged women I see are in leisure wear (yoga pants or whatever) or sweat pants.

Believe it or not, JNCO jeans (or the off brand equivalent) are back again.

It's terrible. Between that and the return of Crocs I can feel myself turning more into cranky old F by the day

My son (almost 17) hates jeans. He wears mostly track pants or sweat pants when its cold, but like me he wears shorts as much as possible.
