When you hear LB, think Edge. Don't expect him to take over for Cunningham.

He's not a LB, he's an edge rusher. He had double digit sacks at Wisconsin his senior years and much like Reddick the team who drafted him has used him wrong. It's a low risk high reward type signing and probably a guy who can be a good ST'er if nothing else.

In the highlight video I watched, it looked like he was an edge rusher for the saints. I don't think he was used wrong. People just hear LB and assume that means off ball LB. 

Last year they signed CB Greedy Williams...and cut him in August. 

Not every "who is this guy?" signing will stay.

Look I get that depth is important and you need to pad your roster out with those kind of guys… But we need serious moves for once at LB.

This was a good signing, not everyone is going to be a big name. He's depth and ST and when given the oppurtunity played very well with Saints. Started 6 games last year and recorded 2 sack, 1 int and 30 tackles, 20 solo. Many said he was not used properly and a crap ton of Saint Fans are pissed he wasn't brought back. I remember the kid at Wisconson at he was a real strong LB who if i remember right was a Butkus finalist., people on here had him in their Mock drafts...me included lol.  He won't be the only LB signed, I think we'll sign one and draft one in the and as well. And you can't go wrong with Wisconson LB's... it's in the bible.

Whenever we've gotten someone from the Saints in recent history they produced. I'm gonna play the wait and see game with this one.

These are the only two posts in this thread where the signing wasn't dismissed as insignificant. The rest of us look pretty clueless now. 

 

10 years $300 million is what I'm hearing.

I dont think i made any comments on him... Maybe i did i dont remember feeling strongly one way or the other. 

I’m glad he has worked out it’s funny looking back on.. I didn’t comment I do remember him being pretty decent at Wisconsin though and I’m glad he is having such a good year.
