1. What picture are you looking at 😂

2. Why display your TDS in a Kenny Pickett thread?  There’s a great echo chamber for the liberals over in another thread dedicated to group think and hatred of the orange man.

3. @Godfather is a poster you will probably enjoy spewing to.

Take it to cvon!

Fields wasn't an option. His handlers wouldn't let him go to Philly where he has absolutely no shot of seeing the field.  He has a better shot against a 35 year old Russel Wilson. Eagles have a backup locked up for 2 years for essentially a pick swap. I'm fine with that. We'll see how well he does in Moore's offense but I'm going to venture a guess that he'll be better than that ish show in Pittsburgh with Canada.

And it turns out, Fields would only accept a trade to the Steelers.

Well TBH I don't think he would have had a choice should the Bears have wanted to ship him to another team.  But to your point, I can see why we may not have pursued him further knowing he didn't want to come here (no sense having a malcontent in the locker room).

The less of those the better.  Guessing you are referring to AJ.  Slightly easier to tolerate with a bonafide super star than a backup QB.  Also he keeps refuting any notion that he doesn’t want to be here.  I think he just grew frustrated with the junior high play calling on offense.

1. Reread his remaining salary.  Pittsburgh would not have dropped him.  He was getting traded or was riding pine.  Hell, he could have been a cheap throw in with the Fields trade, but he wasn't going to be cut free, not for two more seasons anyways.

2.  Trubisky?  No upside.  He could win a Super Bowl and not be worth more than  some practice equipment.

Bridgewater?  Same.

Your only good point was Brissett.  Maybe doesn't fit the offense as well?  I really can't answer that one.

Pickett has upside.  He can be traded for assets in the future should he look good.  Remember, he's only been in the Steelers program, so there's still hope that he can live up to his draft day position.

Pickett isn't getting traded for assets in the future.  There's no upside there.  No team is trading anything meaningful for a 27 year old Pickett next year so they can tie their franchises' fortunes to the Pickett express.  The flip for assets thing is just a silly talking point amongst Eagles fans and Philly media that is never happening.

Howie always liked Pickett.  He also values quality and starting experience at the backup QB position more than most.  So he thought the Pickett trade was worthwhile.  That's all there is to it.  It's not 3D chess.  It's a backup QB they wanted.  Qbs don't get traded to a 3rd team for value.

Seeing what the Steelers gave up for Fields, I probably would rather have Fields,

You're not allowed to criticize a Howie trade. Didn't you know that?

I like this trade. Surprised they don't have more confidence in their no. 3.

Because he knows if he plays this right he could be the starter in a year or so. Wilson is older and coming off a couple of down years. He knows that’s much less likely in Philly.

why would you be surprised when mariota beat him out last year for the #2 spot and we all know how bad he was?

What about his little tiny hands?

Thanks, but I don't care if it was. Appreciate you policing the board and all though, it's a thankless job.

Maybe because the coaches who made that evaluation were fired? I don't know, doesn't it always come down to how much a player is being paid, at least with the better teams that aren't shuffling qbs like headless chickens?

Wasn’t policing the board, far from it…on page 6 there was comic relief regarding the hand size that you might have enjoyed.  Preferred not to give away the joke and direct you to instead.  Defensive much?

You have a problem with defensive people?
