I feel 99% sure that Howie is gonna burn one of the 2nd's to move up in Round 1. The best thing we could hope for is a smaller trade up, like say with Seattle where we give 22 and 50 for 16 and their 3rd (81st overall, I think). Otherwise, I fully expect to lose one of our 2nds, and probably one of our 5ths, in a trade up. I just don't think Howie is going to sit on his hands until pick 22. That said, I think he could sit at 22 and still come away with a good player, especially at DB. I’m fine with a trade up. It would be great if we could wait until Seahawks/Rams and get a 4th or 3rd back or somehow not have to give up one of our seconds. We have been a disaster drafting in the 20s so I’d be happy if they moved up. Go and get one of the top 2 corners in my opinion.

If we are trading up better be for a cb or a lineman with a good chance to start at guard.. I would possibly consider De or Te as options… but if it’s just purely for a backup tackle I feel it’s a waste.

Small chance for Latu or Verse. Personally though I really hope it’s one of the top 2 corners and they look at projects to develop at OL. Let Stoutland work his magic.
July 9, 20241 yr Revisiting this topic during the dog days. We all seemed to have a feel for both our needs as well as how Howie might navigate this off-season. We needed to address the following positions: OL (3), TE(1), WR (2), QB (1), RB (2), DT (1), DE (1), LB (3), CB (2), S (2). Howie responded with: Becton, Hennessy, Keegan, C.J. Uzomah, Parker, Campbell, Ross, A. Smith, J. Wilson, Pickett, Barkley, Shipley, Booker/Hall, Huff, White/Baun/Burks/Trotter, Mitchell/DeJean/Rodgers, and CCJG-J...not a bad effort as of now. Plus, we have a few future picks down the road. Critics have spoken very favorably, but what do I know?

January 13Jan 13 Revisiting once again during the playoffs. Lookig ahead to 2025...yes, for a select few prospects. Assuming a pick at the tail-end of round #1, you're not looking a "true" first round pick with respect to immediate impact. Picks #32 and #64 for example might yield a pick around middle of day 1, say somewhere between #13 -thru #20. Would you consider it to acquire say Tyler Warren?

While Warren should be good Godard showed last night that he still has some juice in the tank and I also like grant so while I think Te is a need I don’t think it’s that high of a need.. it will be interesting to see who we get resigned between now and the draft but I would almost like to trade back and add some more picks vs up.

Definitely early in the process but the mocks I have looked at have him going top 17 don’t think we would get there with a 3rd/4th unless we fall out this week.
