July 19, 20241 yr Author 49 is a tough one. I went with Boston Scott's first season with the Eagles, 2018. Including playoffs, he has scored 20 total TDs. Eleven have come against the Giants.
July 20, 20241 yr Author Wes Hopkins. Drafted in the second round out of SMU in 1983. Played his entire 11-year career as an Eagle. First-team All-Pro (1985) Pro Bowl (1985)
July 21, 20241 yr Hopkins was phenomenal his first few years in the league. He was playing at a HOF level. He was that good. Then the knee injury. When he returned the next year, he was a shell of himself. The rest of his career he was simply a decent/above average NFL safety. Fans who only know him from those years (the Ryan/Kotite years) probably don’t have the proper appreciation for how good he had once been.
July 21, 20241 yr Author Greg Jackson. Spent two years here. https://www.si.com/nfl/eagles/news/productive-safety-greg-jackson-tops-eagles-no-47-class

Fans who only know him from those years (the Ryan/Kotite years) probably don’t have the proper appreciation for how good he had once been. He didn't really return the next year. He was hurt 4 games into the season and missed the remainder and the entire next year. Knee reconstruction advancements since that time have allowed players to return much sooner than in those days. Today it's a setback, but 40 years ago, that was closer to a career-ender. His return to the field was inspirational. There's a good chance that had he never injured a knee that when he finished his career, we would have esteemed him in the same level as Dawkins. He was that special.
