Nice pics.  Not as easy at it looks to do, catching wild life in action.  I know as I've been trying for quite a while now to get good pics of the blue/gray herons and bald eagles around my place.  They never cooperate.  Years ago, when I was actively surfing and was in Ship Bottom, I got to paddle alongside a pod of dolphins.  Really cool experience.  Glad they're still around and in good numbers.  Thanks.

The difficulty was ramped up because I had those cold a** waves crashing into my balls while trying figure out if I was pointing the camera in the right direction due to the sun blinding me.

As for good numbers, last October we were walking on the beach and saw literally hundreds of bottle nosed dolphins migrating.  Was really cool to watch.

I hear Chazistan is really nice this time of year.

Who knows anything about Pensacola? That's where my kid is moving to .

I’m going to have to pee on paco’s foot today... again

My favorite holiday

I'm getting ready for my trip to Denver.  I'm still looking for suggestions for Rocky Mountain N.P., besides the Trail Ridge Road.  One of the hiking trails goes to the summit of a mountain, which sounds cool.

I also want to check out Cheyenne for a little bit, partially to mark off another state and another state capitol.  Any good bars and/or breweries there?

Are you camping in RMNP?  We always liked Moraine campground in Estes Park.

Meant to respond to this earlier.  I've only been there twice for quick vacations, but I definitely enjoyed it.  My parents are retired, and they're always looking for a nice, quiet beach where a bunch of our family can go, so they started going to Pensacola Beach a few years ago.  It's probably about 15 minutes from downtown Pensacola, but it's a nice beach town.  My wife (girlfriend at the time) would visit them for 4-5 days at a time, and they would stay there for about 3 weeks at these high rise condos (which was cheaper than staying in Cape May for 5 days).

Great restaurants near the boardwalk area too.  Last time I was there we went to the Grand Marlin and Peg Leg Pete's (I think this is a Pensacola staple).

And the Naval Air Base was one of the coolest museums I have ever been to.  I would go there all the time if I lived there, but they have some of the most amazing WW2 and vintage airplane I've ever seen.

While the country’s emergence from COVID is more or less plodding along as planned (depending on which agenda you want to roll with), it seems that travel is going to lag behind everything else.

Domestic road trips (and some flights) to beaches and parks?  Good to go.

Anything domestic that relies on restaurants, culture, night life, or sports...or anything international at all...I fear the lag for these things opening up may just extend right into the second wave in the fall.

If the second wave doesn’t come in the fall or if we really see a nose dive in new cases between mid July - early August, then a short-notice opportunity may present itself.  But for planning ahead, I wouldn’t feel comfortable until Spring/Summer 2021.

Just a day trip.  I have a wedding the next day.  The pandemic is requiring people to make reservations to visit the park, so I'm only going to get it for that day.  I'm waiting for my America the Beautiful Pass to arrive, so I can book that.

If you’re just looking for a hiking trip Glacier Gorge is out that way past Estes Park and Moraine. You can take the trail up to Sky Pond if you want a more challenging hike.

If you want really good advice on Denver and it's surrounding areas, contact Toaster - he's the resident expert.

Not sure about Cheyenne, but if you're traveling northeast from there, there's this great restaurant/bar called the Zoo in Aberdeen.  Highly recommended by Dallas Goedert.

I spent a few months there for training at Eglin AFB. It's nice...the water is green, it's called the Emerald Coast, and the sand is very white and fine...like impossible to get out of anything. Being from Hawaii, it wasn't quite my beach expectations, but it was decent. It's known as the Redneck Riviera, since all the Southern states head over there for Spring Break and such. A bunch of pretty fun little beach towns and such, like Destin. Decent people.

Off limits to put that 2nd clip in the "mom thread" since that little Johnson in the background is screaming, "I'm wet?"

That's one thing that sucked.  It was a  tour boat that specifically went out looking for them.  So most of my shots have people creeping in on them or people talking in the videos.

I also learned that at 7-8 years old, male bottlenose dolphins leave their mothers because they don't want to bang their sisters, which is nice

Hahahaha wtf!  I learn something new every day.  Just steer clear of any older dolphins that can't get any "dolphin tail" on their own.  Otherwise this happens (and with too much enjoyment from the guy I might add):

And, of course, anyone who has been violated by a dolphin: | Funny ...

It was so weird.  Over all, the captain was great.  Some of the facts he gave were basic, yeah, but other ones gave some real insight into bottlenose dolphins as a species as well as the local pods that have been there for years.  Then out of nowhere "And the male dolphins leave their mother at about 7-8 years old so they don't mate with their relatives"

Thank god that went over my two nephew's heads

That's a great F'ing shot.  Well done, there.

BTW, which beach was this?  I know Strathmere gets loads of whales (often referred to as Whale Beach) and some dolphins, too.  Plus it's a good beach to go on a weekday late night at 3:30-4am if you want to fulfill a sex on the beach fantasy.  Just make sure you wake up before sunrise so you and your mate aren't naked under a blanket while one old guy is surf fishing and another old guy is wandering the beach with his metal detector.  Because.....awkward.

AC\Brigantine.  Next time we need to bring our DSLR.

As for the rest of your post.... waaaaayyyyyy to specific.
