But they should pass a bill repealing all the tariffs and massively curtailing executive power over tariffs. Make Trump veto it.On Iran it would be a symbolic measure to end the war, but again - make Trump veto it.Both topics could be interesting topics for SCOTUS. The Dems can work to get the tariff question back in front of the court by working with external parties to initiate lawsuits. Tougher with Iran as there is no clear path to SCOTUS but they can really hammer this one politically and completely isolate Trump at minimum. Impeach/convict is an option if they can get the votes as Vance would shut Iran action down. I don’t think I’d go that route at this stage but it is out there.

Investigate all the business dealings - haul the kids and Jared in front of committees. The corruption will work politically as people will hate seeing the family get rich when they are struggling. But avoid POTUS - the cult's love is for him and only him.The issue with taking tariffs to the courts is a lot of the power POTUS has on tariffs is due to bills passed by prior Congresses abdicating that authority. And Congress arguably doesn't have standing to sue - companies and potentially states do. But pass a bill stripping that authority and make him veto it. Same with the war - pass a bill stripping him of authority to continue the war and make him veto.

I think they can bury MAGA if they do it right. An impeachment works against that of course and I agree it isn’t the route to go at this point.

But strategically I bet they're going to want something with an immediate impact for dodo brain voters. Tax policy changes, fighting the tariffs and ending the Iran war are the actually helpful solutions, and while him vetoing it helps their optics, they're gonna want some actual "accomplishment" to point to in affordability for 2028 instead of long term/moral victories. With inflation already Fed because of Trump, MAGA will have a hard time blaming them for it if they do go after minimum wage. Just seems like the kind of superficial **** victory the Democrats will go for. Now if I were in charge? My solution would be simple. TAX VIKAS

They tried impeachment twice - If they could not convict after J6 they never will.Trump is now a liability to the Republican brand. Except he will always be admirable to the MAGA cult.... But the 80% of the country who are not MAGA loathe Trump. Hammer the corruption. Bring his cronies and his family in front of committee nonstop for the next two years. Expose the fraud.

The unfortunate truth is that the average voter is uninformed and has the memory of a goldfish. If gas prices go back under $4 by November '28, then that liability will largely evaporate and we'll be back to sweating out a race that's far closer than it should ever be.

They had their chance to reject Trump. Now it is too late. The Democrats will take over majority in both houses of Congress. Their play over the next two years is to make them own it. Trump enters the lame duck phase of his presidency. He does not have Congress to protect him anymore.

2 hours ago2 hr Anyone thinking that Trump wil just fade away after accumulating such a stranglehold on one of the only two political parties is delusional. If you've been paying attention to the last 10 years, you'll know that every single thing this idiot does is purely center around one thing: his ego. You think the loyalty tests are over? You don't think he'll make every single potential candidate kiss the ring for his endorsement? If anything, he'll continue to be more unhinged than he was during his first term because he knows there are zero real consequences he can face. What are the Democrats gonna threaten him with that he wouldn't just have a good laugh at?

But he needs to be completely stripped of power and illegitimized.
