Weird AF. They're scared. They see the polls, they know the score, this is all they have left. A hail mary hoping to rattle Walz into saying something stupid.
August 8, 20241 yr "He’s very heavy into transgender. Anything transgender he thinks is great.” This might be my new favorite Trump quote.
August 8, 20241 yr Tim Walz has previously expressed in congress that he staunchly believes that owning stocks or making large investments as a politician leads to conflict of interest. He also sponsored STOCK act. Easy to see why the right hates him.
August 8, 20241 yr So the China, Floyd riots and stolen valor things have blown up in their face already. So we're down to a 30 year old DUI charge that he's discussed openly and putting tampons in school bathrooms. I'm starting to get the strategic appeal of Walz. They're already scraping the bottom of the barrel with attacks that pretty much only resonate with idiots like Sam who have already taken the stubby dong of MAGA balls deep.

I think overall, the Dems have done a good job of knowing exactly where MAGA attacks would come from, and how they'd play in the public eye. I remember reading about GOP Donors telling Trump to stay away from racial stuff so he can attract the normie vote. And naturally his first proper swing at Kamala is "She aint black!", and looking like a clown at the Black Journalist interview. They'll hit Walz on Floyd, but hey...here's a tape of DJT approving of his handling of the riots. Meanwhile Trump is anticipating attacks on his racism/fascism and the Dems just branded MAGA as "weird" and let the public sort the rest out with their own eyes. It's all pretty solid so far. Still waiting for more surprises and conspiracy theories though.

I kind of want to believe that Harris' team knew about Trump's comments praising Walz after the George Floyd riots, and they purposefully set a trap for Trump. I thought this would be Walz' biggest weakness; instead it is completely neutralized. Really changes my view on the pick.

But believing in the competence of the Democratic Party is kinda like believing a stripper likes you at this point. I unfortunately think it's more likely they're just Mr Magooing their way to success. But I'll take it I guess 🤷

But I also understand why, when given a choice, Walz chose his health and his family and decided to retire before his deployment. Raise your hands if you ever had to tell your wife and kids you were leaving them for 12-16 months, after a lifetime of telling them, you had to leave them for a few months. More Missed birthdays, baseball games, holidays, etc. Walz also worked in field artillery for two decades and suffered hearing loss and tinnitus in both ears. He was able to continue serving as long as he did because surgery was able to resolve some of his hearing loss. I’ll give Vance a little bit of a pass because he served, but if I was a POG like him, and I actually am, I wouldn’t go around disparaging someone else’s service the way he is. I won’t hold it against him because he only spent 6 months in Iraq, on a a base that was basically a "green zone.” Wasn't Vance like a secretary or something?

But he's not exactly John McCain either. It seems to me like a very weak platform from which to play the "stolen valor" card. But what do I know.
August 8, 20241 yr 🚨🚨MAGA is dropping some serious left hooks right now. Hope Walz team can recover from this one! 🚨🚨

He does however dishonor himself and all veterans every time he talks sheet about another veteran who has also served honorably.

The only thing they have on Walz is that he said he "carried a weapon in war" despite not being in actual combat. I guess he was deployed to an area in Iraq that was never in any real danger. EDIT: He was deployed to Italy. So fine, hit him on using hyperbole all you want, it's a fair point to hammer on but you don't get to act surprised when people who remember "I like soldiers who don't get captured" laugh in your face.
