August 9, 20241 yr Forever a Philly legend The first Superbowl (so far) to finally get that monkey off our back Haven’t heard any Dallas fans say "haha you’ll never win a Super Bowl” since his amazing performance in SB52 Thank you for everything Foles, you made a lot of Eagles fans eternally happy 🦅
August 9, 20241 yr Not a star player, but Nick has accomplished a lot. Winning the SB and the Phillie Special would forever etched in the history. For his own stats, 7 TD's in one game (if my memory serves) is an incredible feast!
August 9, 20241 yr Nick Foles never should have been forced out of Philly. They should have fired Dip Kelly right when he wanted to do that.

I was pretty pissed/stunned when he did the trade, not happy at all. But in the end, I wouldn't have scripted it any differently. No matter how things turned out with Wentz when all was said and done, his 2017 season was instrumental in winning LII and keeping Nick in 2015 means we don't get Carson in 2016 which means we don't have his 2017 (partial) season. So there's that aspect. Then, to have Nick come back in 2017 as our backup and then step in when Wentz blew out his knee and lead us on the most glorious playoff run we've ever seen and forever become an Eagles all-time legend, was pure poetry! Plus, I had a lot of fun teasing @RememberTheKoy after we won the Super Bowl and Nick was MVP Nick's Eagles story was (is), like I said, pure poetry.

RTK was hating life to have to root fro Foles to win the bowl. 😂

Unforgivable Sam Bradford who up to that point in his career never did much of anything other than get injured and collect money from the NFL. Plus a second round pick. Man there’s just so many reasons to hate Chip Kelly.

August 10, 20241 yr Nick never complained, never caused drama. All he did was do his job. When given the opportunity, he brought it home. Nick will always be an Eagles Legend.

When we needed our QB to elevate and play at the highest level possible, Foles delivered (shoot man he outplayed the GOAT!). When we needed 5 to do so he puked.

Five at least went to the Bowl, and there aren’t many Eagles quarterbacks who can say that. He did come up really small when the Eagles needed him most.

That loss to Tampa at home, the loss to the Panthers, and how in the world did they lose to Arizona?

Greatest sports day of my life, winning that SB.

Can’t take it away from Nick Foles who delivered when guys who were far more talented than he was didn’t. I’ll also add you can’t blame Nick for his first playoff loss, because when he walked off the field his team was in the lead.
August 10, 20241 yr I hope he decides to coach in the future. We could use him as a QB coach anytime.
August 11, 20241 yr I had to watch a couple of the NFL Films post-LII specials today. Man, what an awesome time that was. A new Lombardi would be a great experience now, but nothing could top that first one.

But looking back, I really wish we'd have paid Nick and let Carson walk instead of the other way around. The Board was really upset with me back then when I said Carson should have sat the entire 2018 behind Nick. It wasn't about his talent because I felt he was talented. And yes he did have a fantastic 2017 and we wouldn't have won the Super Bowl without his great year for sure. The Reality is that once a QB wins the Super Bowl, he's the starter period. Nick won the Job in Super Bowl LII. I can't believe after we lost in week 2, Nick was benched. I was livid at the time. That is not how you treat your Super Bowl MVP. Then he proved me right in 2018 when he went on that Run and saved our season. One catch against the Saints and we were back in the NFC Title game again. It's water under the bridge now but the fact that Nick won 4 Playoff Games and Carson won Zero is says it all. Lastly the fact Nick never complained even though we basically kicked him to the curb twice is why I respect him even more. Yes sadly he ended up basically a journeyman but he should be proud of his career here. (7 TD's Jersey and Philly Special are both in the Hall of Fame). Not many people can say they have a statue made of them. Also coming up to Doug and saying "Philly Philly" was just one of the moments you will never forget. Also yes they should retire #9 for historical purposes.
