Did anyone notice how that Pats tackled vs to how the Eagles tackled, it was like night and day.

Vic Fangio need to forget about the details of that softarse bend but don't break defense of his and get back to fundamental tackling, I swear it looked like a New Your Life commercial.

The poor tackling was my biggest takeaway from the game. Although, I believe it’s due more to Siriani’s country club approach to preseason than to Fangio.

Watch the patriots make this sweet tackle on Johnson (48) ... night and day ...

Honestly, I didn't see anything too concerning. We held them to 3.0 ypc rushing for the game. There will be a couple missed tackles by every team in every game. It was not a standout problem in this game. This topic reeks of a person that didn't watch the entire game, waited for the NFL network replay, began watching it and decided to make this thread after he saw the patriots' 2nd offensive possession where there were a couple plays where the ball carrier slipped off the initial tackle attempt.

Thought Baby Trott struggled in this one a little. Also Bradbury struggled. Not too worried yet, but clearly the team thinks the offense is ahead of the defense, because the offensive starters are sitting while the defensive starters are playing.

The real issue is that we are two weeks into preseason and @EagleVA has yet to tell me how John Ross is a better WR than DeVonta Smth. 😂

Another avenue in which Ringo excels and people seem to forget will be a necessity

I'll say thins much, all of the mocking birds keep saying the Eagles need to pick up another WR for the WR3 position in the event that Smith or Brown misses time with an injury and I whole heartily disagree, John Ross and Parris Campbell and fill in if either of those two misses time

Yeah, tackling those rolling orange doughnuts and landing on an air mattress is a sorry excuse for tackling practice, that's about as country club as you can get.

I don’t think either of those guys have stood out enough to feel like the 3rd WR spot is filled. Ngata seems like the only WR that’s stood up and I don’t really think he’s a slot guy.

Everybody is talking about how Fangio is great, old school. hard nosed, etc. I have one criteria when it comes to judging anything- show me.

I haven't seen it yet. SHOW ME, don't sit there and try to live off of your "legend."

Last season's defense cannot be fixed in one season.

I certainly wasn't expecting anything to get better immediately on defense.  You are right, the soft practices may make for soft tackling.

I have been reading about the tough camps Harbaugh has been running with the Chargers...I'll be seeing how that defense responds this season.

Truth be told, Ross and Campbell are outside WRs that've been asked to man the slot, while I haven't seen a lot of Ross' receptions in the slot I've seen enough of Campbell's and he stood out plenty to me, he catches the ball in traffic without fear and looks to see what he can get done after the reception.

But the justification for searching for another WR was the event that Smith or Brown goes down and what better backups can you find instead of 2 outside WRs with tons of ability.

Bradberry with a better scheme and better players around him I think will be fine as a backup CB.

TBH, I thought the Eagles D owned the first quarter and a half of the game. Then the Eagles turnover on downs, Patriots starting at midfield score a TD right before the half. I lost interest after that.
