This is actually not a bad deal for him. 12 mill guaranteed is good money, 1 year deal is the downside

Isaiah Rodgers a Viking

Milton Williams a panther or pat?

Slay a steeler

Williams a Pat.

Nothing signed with Steelers yet (Slay) - just talking.

Sweat a Cardinal

I guess he figured he'd had enough Super Bowl experience, now he can chase the big contract and worry about more Super Bowl experience when he becomes a free agent again.

This sounds like a Gayle Benson and New Orleans Saints documentary.

Is a Philly reunion in the pipeline?

Well, since Barkley's going to be benched, we should sign Miles! :excited:

I hope not.  I’d sooner draft a RB … fresher legs annd under control for the next 4 years on a much cheaper rookie contract.

Yeah, if Howie saw fit to bring him in, I wouldn't revolt and switch teams. But I'd rather focus our resources elsewhere.

I'd have no problem bringing him back on the cheap. I'd rather have a cheap vet backup that knows his place than sit on another rookie contract while that player's cheap years are spent playing only in garbage time --- only to have to pay him or lose him when his time actually comes. We already have Shipley. We don't need another "fresh set of legs." Just bring in someone that has proven he can perform in our offense. Honestly, I was hoping to retain Gainwell, but Sanders would be just as good, IMO.

Yeah, I saw earlier that Gainwell is going to sign with... was it the Steelers? That might make Sanders a done deal.

Hopefully a deal big enough for 6 round comp atleast..  still hoping becton can bring home a 4-5 rounder

Teams are limited to only 4 comp picks in a given year.  So if we already have a 3rd for Williams, a 4th for Sweat, and a 6th for Rodgers (assuming the comp pick formula is accurate), then getting a 4th-5th round pick for Becton it wouldn't matter if Gainwell qualified or not.

It's almost certain Gainwell won't qualify anyway

It matters to the point if we have enough we could sign 1-2 players now that in theory could cancel out a comp pick. I understand we are limited to 4 max 🙂
