chip kelley was before my time as an eagles fan. Was he really that bad of a coach?

In today's NFL, yes. Players today need a "daddy" that loves them like children. Chip Kelly is cold and unlikable and will never be any player's buddy.

Yes, and to be fair, he just isn't bright, nor humble enough to be an NFL coach. He was also awful because he was a royal d-bag, and he believed his system was more important than the talent.

That caption is a bit misleading to people that don't keep up. Wilson is probably a good hire and was strangely overlooked by the Eagles after Gannon left. But Wilson also left after Desai was hired. So he hasn't been here the last 3 seasons.

Reich is taking the Jets OC role. I'm surprised they didn't even look at him as an OC hire here

Is surprising when I heard that! I know some people here thought it was a good idea but a lot of others said that he was retiring and wouldn’t even consider it so surprising to see him get hired.

RIP Sonny Jurgensen. That trade of Jurgy for Norm Snead may go down as the worst in Eagles history. Jurgy turned out to be a Hall of Famer. Snead was a bust.

Statement from the Family of Christian A. “Sonny” Jurgensen III It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our husband, father, and grandfather, Sonny Jurgensen. We are enormously proud of his amazing life and accomplishments on the field, marked not only by a golden arm, but also a fearless spirit and intellect that earned him a place among the legends in Canton. But to those of us who knew him beyond the stadium lights, he was the steady, humorous, and deeply loving heart of our family. He lived with deep appreciation for the teammates, colleagues, and friends he met along the way. While he has taken his final snap, his legacy will remain an indelible part of the city he loved and the family he built. We are comforted by the knowledge that he brought joy to so many. This weekend as we enjoy the game that he loved so much, join us and raise a glass, share a story and a smile, as we celebrate the extraordinary life of a man who was, to us, the greatest of all time

Saw Sonny play every game in an Eagles uniform from 1960-63. Those were the days. Anybody old enough may remember a show called something like Jurgensen to McDonald that was on during the week on a local Philly station. Those two would talk football and play tapes. One of the early player type shows.

Press Taylor has been promoted to the Bears OC

Happy we can now put this in this thread!

What do you think would have happened with the club if it had strong ownership who hired somebody like Shula instead of Joe Kuharich?
