Jalen Hurts is not clutch, I had a gut feeling he was going to throw an INT or fumble on that last drive and it happened.

 

I don't put the blame on Hurts for this loss, this is on Sirrianni/Fangio. However Jalen is what he is; a QB with a lot of limitations, he needs everything to click to look like a decent QB. I don't see Eagles winning a Superbowl with him at helm.

I'm of the opinion that under the circumstances, you hand it off there 100% of the time. You get the 1st down game over. You don't and you run the clock down a lot further.

Take a step back and look at the big picture.  The Eagles have a bad record for the second game of the season.  The team is 9-17 in those games since Andy Reid took over the squad in 1999.

Is this a good team?  Time will tell. 

Is this an elite team?  I don't think so.

A few Moore weeks of this and the light at the end of the tunnel will finally see Sirianni gone.  (see what I did there?) 

I don't think Kellen Moore will make a great head coach.......but Sirianni is clearly not cutting it - and the bend but don't break defense is awful.  This team showed its true colors and reverted to last year's team with no heart.  That defense is just awful.  The decision making is just putrid.  It's been a long time since I've been this disappointed in an Eagles team and it stretches back to last season.

You know what? I agree about Siri blowing the FG call. I wanted those 3 points at the time- screaming at him to take the 3 points, and Siri did what he ALWAYS does- he got cute. I liked the call to Barkley- Siri couldn't catch that ball for him. That was entirely on Barkley- a well thrown, catchable ball- he just dropped it in a big moment. He still has some Giant stink on him, I guess.

It just that all us fans hopes were so high- with new coordinators that were going to change the team, new schemes that would work, etc, etc, etc. And then we all have to watch that heart breaking loss. The D looked as bad as it can look. Nothing but GASH plays all the time- not just here and there. And they have to face the high scoring Saints next. I'm not sure the D can be fixed. I think the the line is toast, the linebackers suck, and it may be unfixable. I'm tired of this team breaking the fans hearts. The D owed that huge crowd so much more, and didn't do it. Unforgivable. You hurt my fellow fans, defense. YOU hurt my fans. F off.
