And in another quick Google search, a university has already changed Crusaders for being offensive. So his "stupid idea" is being carried out by universities already.

Uhhh....  c'mon Dave.  I mean you do realize that those corporations pressured the Washington team to change the name because those corporations want to ensure that they don't offend anyone, namely the leftists.  You do get that, right Dave?

Holy Cross was considering it, but decided to keep the name but remove the Knight imagery.

Boston University considers changing the Boston Terrier mascot dog's name from Rhett because of Gone With the Wind.

That wasn't his premise, "my guy."  He didn't say they were racial slurs in the same way Redskins are.  He simply said people will want to change these names, and I already showed that most of them already have petitions or considerations to change, and some already have.  The premise isn't that they are racial slurs against whites, the premise is someone will find them offensive and want to change them which is already true.

What I'm saying is that the activist led opinion drove the corporations to push the Wash football team to change their name.  Pretty simple and in fact a normal tool used by any citizenry that wants to change the behavior of a company, in this case a professional sports club.  Power to the people!
