While Israel has not yet confirmed President Trump’s cease-fire announcement, Israeli Air Force jets — possibly anticipating that such a declaration will be made soon — are striking dozens of targets in Tehran and other parts of the country, according to two Israeli defense officials.

Israel’s military urged the evacuation of central Tehran, an area where municipal offices, the Central Bank and National Bank are located, along with some military and intelligence headquarters. Residents of Tehran are reporting intense explosions in the area.

Dude, I don't even care if we were involved. Iran ****s and the terrorist regime wants us all dead.

Some things are worth fighting against, including the Russian invasion of Ukraine. For a hot second I was hopeful MAGA would stumble into some good sense about fighting the good fight but I don't see that happening. It's only about glazing Trump.

My understanding is that the bunkers were so deep that even Israel doesn't have the weaponry to hit it. So Bibi basically asked Trump to bomb em for him, and now seems to be ignoring the ceasefire after the fact.

So agreed, F the Iranian government with a cactus. But what the Trumptards in here seem to struggle with is how problematic it is that he is basically being directed then ignored by Israel, especially after campaigning on avoiding even indirect involvement in foreign conflicts.

it's tough for me to feel like i am debating against the end result, which i am not. i just think we could've supplied israel with anything they needed.

I get it. Again this could be wrong cause it's definitely not my expertise. But I think that type of bomb/mission requires a B-2 stealth bomber. And no matter how powerful Israel's influence is, I don't think that's the kind of equipment we supply to other countries.

But one of the military guys would know better.

This is accurate, maybe in theory you could use something like a Hercules to drop it but with far less accuracy, range, and at greater risk of detection.

  Bunker busters, especially larger ones like the GBU-57 Massive Ordnance Penetrator (MOP), are typically delivered by heavy bomber aircraft like the B-2 Spirit.
