My step mother is Venezuelan. No one is better off other than Trump. He took out Maduro to enrich himself. Everything he does is a grift, scam, or racket. I'm sure there is something in it for him in this Iran war too.

So we went into Venezuela for the oil? In any case, only about 1% of the oil today comes from Venezuela while over 20% flows thru the Strait of Hormuz. Let's hope that isn't the plan.

It was obviously part of it, but probably more to hurt China which, not coincidentally, today’s actions will hurt even more. 2 of China’s main sources of oil gone. Now they’re pretty much completely dependent on Putin. Think that’s the situation they want to be in?

China still buys oil that originates in Venezuela. We direct it to global traders and they sell it on the open market and China buys it there. So in effect, Trump now sells it to China but thru a middleman. Trump does get a cut so maybe you like that. He has also promised to send some funds back to Venezuela but that doesn't seem to have happened yet.
